Hi there, I am trying to design a solar PV system which uses 154x Hanwha Q.Peak DUO-G5 325 Rev3 modules. We plan on configuring these with a single SolarEdge SE50k inverter, but the SolarEdge inverters in PV*SOL only go up to SE33.3K. How can I go about using a SolarEdge SE50K on PV*SOL? Cheers, Jack

Dear PV*Sol support team i have a question : when i tried to use power optimizer option i was told that it can be only used with SolarEdge inverters why is that? i remember when i spoke with some LG representative he told me that no problem and i use the power optimizer with their panels . so its a real issue or PV*Sol software limitation ? Is there any way to start the PV stand alone calculation with fully charged batteries?

Hi Team, I have just created 22 PV arrays in one design and when i click the 3D design button across the top you can then see the list of arrays down the left hand side and underneath each array is where you can enter in the degradation of the module. As there are 22 arrays i need to use the page slide to see the ones at the bottom however this does not show the last 4. I have used the keyboard down arrow to adjust the module degradation but thought you would like to know so this can be fixed in the next release. I have PV Sol Premium 2019 (R5) and i have attached a screen shot. Regards

Hi, I'm currently looking into a simulation with microinverters. Not having used them before I was interested in calculating the cable losses. I expected high losses on the AC side. (from counter(meter) to microinverters) With cable lenghts easily exceeding the 25+ meter mark, the losses are extremely low. The DC losses however seem to be too high. Am I missing something or are the calculations switched? * using the cable tab to caculate the losses in detail Best regards, Sander

I am trying to put in the correct measurements of a building that has twelve edges on the roof. How do i enter the correct measurement? I can draw a polygon that is similar to the building and make it at "right angle" but the measurements are not correct. hotell.pdf

Is it possible to do simulations in 3D mode with 1-axis N-S trackers in PV * SOL? If it is not possible, could you import a ".hor" file from 3D mode to make a common simulation, considering the shading?

The program says that it is registered but does not start the software . My firm bought the license, and I wanted to switch it from one computer to another and sent the serial number deactivation form. Dear Sirs I used the PVsol premium R9 2017 for a few days in the demo version, I liked the software and bought the premium license for student. When I received the code serial, I did the whole procedure and registered the software without any failure, the problem is when I will use the software,When the PVSOL is opened a message appears that the time has expired and I can not open the program, I bought and the serial code arrived Today by email, it is impossible that it is already expired. Hello, I did some simulations on the PV*SOL for a scenario with enough objects to cause shadowing. However, for a 30 kWp system, the PR was better for the city with more clouds and lower temperature, while the Annual Yield was higher for city with higher temperature. Values: City higher temperature (1846kWh/m2) - PR 68% - YR 1,170.00 kWh / kWp City lower temperature (1467kWh/m2) - PR 72% - YR 1,074.00 kWh / kWp What may explain the behavior of PR, I think it should be higher for city with higher temperature. As happened to a lower power system.

Good morning and happy new year, Is it possible to extrude 3-D objects with inclination from non-rectangular polygons? I have the following building, which has two eaves, one facing east and the other facing west: I see I can extrude a 3-D object but I can only find the option to make it flat and in real life each eave has a 6º inclination. What I have done up to now in similar cases is simply to make a rectangle, extrude that and then not put modules on the parts of the building which don't actually exist. However, that will not work here, as there are other buildings nearby and this one would collide with them if I make it any bigger. …

Hello, The company I work for has bought one license for PV Sol 2019 (R5). However, we want to remove it from one computer and install it on another. How can we do this ? Should we use the "Revoke Serial Number" button of the old PV Sol before reinstalling PVSol on the new computer ?

Martin I often have problems placing a cable node on flat roofs (small and big installations) but i have no clue why. The symbol for placement remains grey so I can't select it and cable plan can't be created. Can you explain where it goes wrong?

Martin, If I enter a size in a 3D drawing to determine the scale, this size later in the drawing no longer corresponds to the entered dimensions. I don't dare to say with certainty whether my panels fit on the drawn surfaces. The entered value of the width is 21.119 but my roof plane is now shown as 21.679. This deviation of almost 50cm is very large. Is this a known problem and is there a solution?

Hi, In my last project I noticed that the legend in the customer presentation was too small, almost unreadable. The room in the box is anyway not used fully, there is a lot of white and what is important is down in a small corner. Is there anyway to make this bigger? Many of the grid companies in Sweden today has a peak load tarif for customers over 63 A, meaning that the costumer has to pay for the highest hour of peakload during an intire month. And building a PV installation can generate a significant saving on the grid cost for the customer. For instance in E.ONs grid you have a fixed cost per month that is 2100 SEK. And for the highest peak hour you will pay 81,60 SEK. Hi I would like to include relatively larger inverters form SMA in my simulation as im planning a system with 1,3 MW approx. Unfortunately the the largest inverter from SMA that is availbale now in PVSOL liberary is the SUNNY TRIPOWER CORE1. SMA has larger inverters in the market such as SUNNY TRIPOWER 60 and SUNNY TRIPOWER 75. Is there a specific reason why those products are not included in the liberary? Thanks

Dear support, i have pv system with the following setting(see below) i wanted to use ESS(LG Electronics Energy Storage System ESS 1.0VI 6.4 kWh,its DC generator coupling type . so i would need 3 ESS systems (inverter+battery) , the thing is that i get notice like this(on the battery setting page) : Why is that?,its not logical that i can use only one ESS system for the roof(6.4 kwp) what with the rest panel configuration:))? and how should i fix it ? Hi! I have recently installed the new 2019 PV sol release. But almost every time i start up PV sol premium 2019 it says that there is a new release and asks if i want to download it. How many new releases has there been since november, and if there only has been one, how do i stop this? //Patrik
