Hi, I understand the update to the Metonorm database (R5) changed irradiance and therefore yield. Can you please explain in a bit more detail the recent update to calculating irradiance in R7? We have seen yield numbers change (sometimes dramatically) with the R5 update and again with R7. My concern is that there may be another change soon as the data source now seems to be Meteonorm 1981-1990. Is there a reason such old data is now being used? For funded projects a change in yield mid-way though development can cause us big problems. We are keen to understand what has changed, why and what may change next. I look forwa…

Hello, I want to simulate a system that will use one hybrid inverter set to minimize import from the grid and one regular inverter that will reduce the load on the hybrid inverter. If I simulate the hybrid inverter on its own everything is fine but adding a second inverter seems to have no affect on how the batteries are charged and discharged. In this configuration the simulation seems to feed energy back into the grid rather than charging the hybrid inverters batteries. Hi, I have been using the 3D planning for a large project with 5 roofs. Today we need to make a few adjustments but when I open the project file the 3D Planning is not avaible.... I`ve opened other projects and it seems to be fine. What have I done incorrect or not done? Thanks Andy

I am looking for information on the number of cycles that the battery makes in for example a year. I see the parameter cycle load, but can not find information on this indicator in the FAQ. Is no of cycles for a battery calculated?

Anyone could explain to me why the Energy Supply Account results are different when we use the same parameters to simulate two different projects? I mean, sometimes PV*Sol accumulate the amount of energy consumed above the energy produced to the next month, which is wrong here in Brazil and, sometimes, PV*SOL works properly and put this amount in Statement account, which is correct. I attached two images showing this behavior and I would like an explanation since it is preventing me to offer my services based on PV*SOL simulations.

I need to model a 6600v ph-ph 3 phase system in PV SOL. I only want to do a basic 2D model but it won't let me enter correct figures in AC mains section in second screen (System Type, Climate and Grid) - it only goes to max 1000V N-L1. How do you get beyond this issue as for any stand HV system in the UK 6.6kV, 11kV, 33kV the N-L1 voltage will be more than 1000V

I'am trying to simulate an pv plant in house roof, when I export the 3d model in OBJ file format the shadow frequency increase dramaticaly if its compared to an COLLADA file format. I've done the simulation on the same scenario, only thing differente is file format. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Thanks

Dear All, I have a roof with a room built on it and I have filled the roof in the 3D model with panels on both the roof and the room on the roof. However, when trying to configure the whole roof on a single inverter each area must be configured on a separate MPPT . Is there any way to avoid that ? Hi everyboby. I'm trying to create a new PV model for a building (on PVSol Premium). When I have to choose some 3d models, the option "map section" doesn't appear. HI, I have noticed that 2 projects run using the same postcode with "create climate data for new location" have given very different irradiance values. The 995kWh/m2 value was produced on Friday with R5, the 876kWh/m2 was run today since the R6 update. Everything else is the same, as you can see it is the same Latitude and Longitude. PVGIS gives a value of 1030kWh/m2 so I am hoping it ends up being the higher of the 2 numbers. I have recently noticed values going up when rerunning projects after previous updates without any changes. Such large changes obviusly make a big difference to project economics, it is hard to be conf…

Hi, When using PV Sol Premium 2016 in 3D and for on roof mounting systems on pitched roofs which installation type is best to select? Is it 'flush mount - good rear ventilation' or 'roof integrated-rear ventilation'? I assume 'Mounted-roof' is for flat roofs? Just loaded 2D to find the names of the installation types, as I remember them being different, in order to ask the same question and found that they each now have a pretty symbol! Hi, In 2D calculation there is a calculator for optimum tilt which is location dependent. Is there such a calculation available in 3D? It seems that in 3D it should be assumed as known. Regards, Farzad

Dear sir, madame, I'm trying to make a sketch of the string configuration of a system for our installer. I finished the configuration and could take a nice screenshot of the strings with all a different color (but without text inside the panel), as you can see in the example. Unfortunately, I had too change some panels and now i cannot get the modules in color without the text (which is much to busy for our installers). Was there a bug last time i made the screenshot or is there an option i can click so i don't get the text? EDIT: Never mind, it is just a matter of zooming Kind regards, Yvar
