  1. During a major system update, access to our online databases (components, tariffs, etc.) will be unavailable. You can use our software normally to view and simulate existing projects. The following restrictions apply: It is not possible to create new data records. No access to already self-created data records. The data stock of the offline databases is not up-to-date compared to the online databases. We apologize for any inconvenience!

Good afternoon, I think it would be a good idea if Valentin software developers make a wish list in the Forum for the users so they can have a feedback of what is more important and required by the costumers/users and if they are mentioned very often try to include them in the following releases. Here are my wishes ? 1- More stand alone inverter/chargers/components brands, as Victron, Steca, Ingeteam, Solarwatt 2- Bigger area to develop bigger projects 3 - A better relation with 3D software as Sketch-up 4 - The possibility of include some images/pictures or even text in the final report (for clients would be interesting if we can include in …

  3. Dear users, during the last couple of years, every now and then, we had users reporting issues with the display of the menu bar in the 3D environment of PV*SOL. In this post we want to give clear instructions on how to mitigate this problem. Problem This is how the menu bar of the 3D visualization of PV*SOL should look like: But sometimes it looks like this (or even worse) Solution Close all instances of PV*SOL premium Locate the PVSOLpremium.exe (usually in C:\Program Files (x86)\Valentin EnergieSoftware\PVSOL premium 2023\) Right click on the exe, choose "Properties" Navigate to the tab "Compatib…

  4. Good morning, Can you request that this photovoltaic module be added to the pvsol database? It would be helpful to have it in order to optimize the time spent entering data manually. I have attached the technical specifications for the solar panel. I look forward to hearing from you. Kind regards. LR8-66HVD 640-665M (30-30&15框)- Scientist-BGV01 20250605- EN .pdf

  5. Hi everyone, I am experiencing an issue in PV*SOL 3D visual geometry regarding the module azimuth and simulation results on a South-facing roof with reverse mounting structures (tilted to the North). Issue Description: I have a roof pitch oriented towards the South. I installed a mounting structure/elevation system on this roof to invert the pitch so the PV modules face North. Even after selecting the highest roof edge (Reference Edge at the ridge/cumeeira) as the reference, the simulation engine still considers the global orientation/azimuth of the base roof (South) instead of the actual module orientation (North). …

I am trying to do a design for a building that has been up for a few years now and the image on PVsol seem to be from 2022. Is there a way to update this?

  8. Started by Finn Hansen,

  9. Hi I'm fairly new to PV*SOL. I'm working on a project, with multiple technique rooms on top of the building, spaced evenly out. I have modeled each technique room individually as well as the space between these, as we are considering whether to place the PV in between. I've modelled everything an placed the PV modules, but now I realize, that the building doesn't have the correct orientation Rotating each building doesn't really work that well, as you can see 😅 Is there a different way of doing this? The easiest would be, if it was possible to change the orientation of the site. Thanks in advance for your help 🙏

  10. Hi everyone, Has anyone else run into this with a 3D model imported from Rexplorer? Parts of the roof plane show up as white hatched areas and I can't place any modules on them — they don't respond to a right-click either. What is the proper way to solve this? Thanks in advance!

Hi, When stringing is there a process after choosing meander? Most of the time when meander is chosen and then cable design. It automatically keeps the stringing as simple. Am i missing a step? Thanks

  12. Hello, can someone help me configure the Feed-in Concept so that it matches the current principles for calculating the kWh price in Croatia (new rules effective from January 1, 2026)? According to these rules, if the consumer takes less energy from the grid than they send to it, the price of the exported energy is €0.085/kWh. If the consumer sends more energy to the grid than they consume from it, then the price of the exported energy is calculated using the formula: 0.085 × (consumed / exported) Thank you in advance.

  13. Been having an issue with the PVSOL export simulation results where the simulation results aren't showing the tab labelled "Current & Voltages". This hasn't been an issue previously, and even on more recent projects I've managed to get this info per inverter just fine. I've attempted clearing some of the error messages on the design (feed-in and grid tariff, dimensioning factors, etc.) to no avail neither. Now I'm thinking that maybe its a case of having too many inverters in the design itself? Not entirely sure. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

  14. Hello everyone, I need to provide the following generation curves for a DG (Distributed Generation) feasibility study, and I would like to know how to generate them in PV*SOL: Daily generation curve with hourly resolution (typical sunny day and typical cloudy day). Annual generation curve with monthly resolution. For reference, I have attached the project simulation. Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance! 15. Good morning. I would like to know how to configure the program to simulate a 300 kW grid connection limit and ensure that no energy is fed back into the grid. In other words, it can only draw 300 kW from the grid and cannot feed any power back into it.

  16. I recently noticed that the load data for consumption seems to not match the provided data, as in the annual course table that you can edit does not match the consumption graph shown above, I have attached two screenshots showing the issue, one user inputted, with all months and days being identical, and Brazil/Block of flights to show that the error applies to both default and user-input data. My guess is a calculation issue, as the output data seems to be higher on months with 31 days and lowest in February with the fewest days. Any help is appreciated on either fixing the bug or making a load profile to counter the issue, it's only a 3% difference but that ca…

  17. Hello everyone, I am redesigning the string layout of an existing PV system after removing some modules. The physical module layout should remain as close as possible to the existing installation. In the new design, every string must have exactly 19 modules in series. I have two separate questions: 1. Some 19-module strings have to run across several separate roofs. The roofs have the same tilt and orientation. Is it possible in PV*SOL to define one electrical string whose modules are placed on different separate roofs? 2. Independently from that, some strings have to be connected in parallel, for example two separate strings with 19 modules each …

Good afternoon, I have a question, I am currently configuring an off-grid system with and without a generator, I am applying a hybrid inverter in this case "Huawei 5Ktl- L1" and batteries also "Huawei LUNA2000-(5-30)-S0" Since the inverter is hybrid, I do not need a battery inverter, however the program always shows me the option with a battery inverter... This is due to the fact that the program does not have the capacity to read a hybrid inverter or is me doing something wrong? All the toturials and videos I watch don't use hybrid inverters so I didn't find much help. Thanks

  20. Title: Advice needed – modeling a complex multi-plane roof in PV*SOL (beginner) Hello everyone, I am still fairly new to PV*SOL and would really appreciate some guidance from the more experienced users here. I am currently working on a project with a rather complex roof geometry. The building has several roof planes with different orientations and inclinations, including hipped sections, multiple ridges and valleys, and a few smaller adjoining roof areas (please see the attached aerial view from the PV*SOL map import). The customer's explicit wish is to have the entire roof fully covered with modules – on all available roof surfaces. This is a fixed re…

Ho is this possible below if you have 9 x Jink0 590Watt BDV panels installed. The VOC of these panels is 52.9Vdc and multiplied by 9 gives you 476.1Vdc, and not 519Vdc as per PVSol below:

Good Day, Can you please make sure the data in PVSol Database is correct for the specified 16kW Single Phase Inverter. Something does not look correct if I compare the DC data with the Datasheet of the inverter. Max DC Input Power should be 25.6kW Max Input Current should be 96A Max Short Circuit Current should be 180A

Hello, I tried this software maybe year or two ago, tried it again now, and seems I still have shading issues with imported models. I've checked and this impacts not only rendering but calculations also I guess. Is there workaround or fix? I have crazy results with this glitch. I don't know how to explain this, like shadow casts inside of object on backface and then inverts from other side at some angles. Seems there are no issues with inbuilt geometry, but even simplest box imported from 3ds max (3ds obj) gives headache. I've attached my 3ds model. And unfortunately this making this software unusable for me. Standard approach is to draw blueprint of walls in acad, re…
