Hello, I tried this software maybe year or two ago, tried it again now, and seems I still have shading issues with imported models. I've checked and this impacts not only rendering but calculations also I guess. Is there workaround or fix? I have crazy results with this glitch. I don't know how to explain this, like shadow casts inside of object on backface and then inverts from other side at some angles. Seems there are no issues with inbuilt geometry, but even simplest box imported from 3ds max (3ds obj) gives headache. I've attached my 3ds model. Hello, I am completely new to the software and struggling with FAQ and first steps. Successfully created a testing environment and created multiple houses but the software will only let me place solar panels on the ground and not on roofs. Probably something really simple but neither Google search nor FAQs could help. How do I tell the software that I want to place solar panels on roofs? Sorry this probably sounds really stupid and I am not a native English speaker. Just really frustrated after multiple hours into test project and search and not being able to find a solution ... Hello, If I import HH data into PVSol, does it use this when calculating self-consumption with an hourly simulation, or does it add the 2 HHs together and use hourly data? Further to the above, is the formula used to calculate self-consumption % simply 'if consumption is greater than PV output then 100%, if not then = consumption/pv output'? This would essentially assume that PV output and site demand is completely flat for each simulation period. Thanks, Haydn

Hi all together! What's the best way to consider PV systems built on a water body in PV*SOL? So far, there is no opportunity to take lower temperatures (1-3°) and therefore higher energy yields (5-10%) of the PV systems on water within PV*SOL into consideration. The only way I've thought of so far is to change the ambient temperature at the destination to the targeted- For example, if we have Berlin with mean temperatures of 12° over the year, I could decrease the temperature to 10°. Good Day, In the project I have created, why will there be power supplied form the grid if there is enough Solar Power. I have activated the Daily profile so that only load is drawn from 12h00 - 16h00 but does not make a difference. Is there something I am missing?

Good Day, can someone please assist. I need to create a project with a Hybrid Inverter and a separate battery connected to the Inverter. NOT a Battery System with a battery inverter. The battery selections are in the database that I must use but nowhere is there a selection of the free standing battery. Which system type must be used? Is it the one I highlighted below?
