PV*SOL

Hello, Fronius now offer some smaller Verto models (15, 17.5, 20.0) as well as bringing in a new version of the 25.0 with only 3 MPPTs, however, none of these are currently in PVSOL. The closest are the 'Plus' variants but these have slightly different technical characteristics so don't provide an exact result. Is there a plan to add these smaller models soon? Thanks

Good morning, I am having problems connecting modules. I'm designing a 1.42 MWp photovoltaic plant, I am in the connection stage, and I have noticed the following issues: 1.- As you can see in the first image, I have used some surfaces to use panels from other areas in order to fully utilise the inverter's MPPT. Perhaps because it is a large system, the wiring plan options where I can use groupings, cable glands, etc. no longer appear, as shown in the second image. Why is this? Hi Guys! I would like to desing battery capacity for one existing solar system. I generated the consuption data in kWh, 15 mins, one year, csv. file. And I also have the solar system productions data in kWh, 15 mins, one year, csv. file. Is there any possibility for import all the datas like productions and consuptions than PV SOL calculate the perfect battery capacity?

By choosing panels from the base, Trina Solar TSM-705NEG21C.20 Vertex N Bifacial 705 W, or Trina Solar TSM-705-NEG21C.20 VERTEX N 2024 705 W, which have identical characteristics, in an outdoor setting, I get large differences in production estimates. Why?

We have a lot of customers with a grid power limit, it would be more than welcome to put a grid limit into PV Sol. So the delivery of solar is often 0KW and the grid connection is limited to 125 kW for example. When we install more solar and a battery system also connected to a heatpump, it would be great to have a power limit, so the solar power will charge the battery at that limit or feed the heat pump and so on. Like to hear the possibilities about grid limits.

Hello, We're looking to produce a commercial PPA for a school on PVSOL. Is there a way we can model the schools annual usage, what they currently pay for grid sourced electricity and a rate of the PPA. for the school to purchase the generated power from the developer? We can then build an ROI into the model. Is it possible to do this on PVSOL?

Hello, I've got a question about a big battery system in PVSol, i'd like to simulate a battery let's with the capacity of 2MWh together with 500kWp PV System. I need to simulate spot rates and timed charging/discharging with the battery for the most accurate simulation close to reality, is there any way i could do this? Thank you.

Hi. I want to use the financial calculation. I haven’t tried that before. I have a price for a system of 650,000 DKK. I have entered that. Is what I’ve done correct? I know the customer pays 2.16 DKK per kWh. So I would like to enter this fixed price per kWh, and then use PV solar to calculate the payback time. How do I do that? Thanks. JKE.pvprj

Hi everyone, I’d like to ask if it’s possible to import 3D images or models from Google Maps into PV*SOL to use them as a base for modelling the surroundings (buildings, shading objects, terrain, etc.). If anyone knows whether this feature is supported, or what steps or intermediate tools can be used to bring a Google Maps 3D model into PV*SOL, I’d really appreciate some guidance. Hi Martin, I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I am having a challenge uploading my last two (2) measured climate data files into PVSol. I have converted the files into .DAT format, as per the instructions but I keep getting "Conversion failed, Formatting error" message whenever I try to upload same into PVSol. I have attached the two (2) files for your kind review and support. Could you please convert them into .DAT file for me. Good morning everyone, Is it possible to update the reference satellite image used for the 3D layout after I’ve already created a 3D design? If so, where can I find this option? Or would I need to start the design from scratch and select the satellite image again? Kind regards.

Mein Computer, auf dem PVSol Premium 2022 installiert war, ist leider neu aufgesetzt worden und somit muss das Programm neu Installiert werden. Wenn ich das die aktuelle Version herunterlade und diese mit unserer Lizenz aktivieren möchte kommt eine Fehlermeldung, da die Lizenz für 2022 ist und nicht für 2025. Können Sie mir bitte den Download von der 2022 Version zukommen lassen. Dann können wir dies wieder installieren. Danke!

Dear support, I designed a simulation with bifacial modules as you can see in the attachment. I send you my full project for check. I assume that the final calculation doesn't include also bifacial effect of modules. I see that in the report in Sankey diagram without bifacial factor although I chose module with bifacial factor 80% (albedo of the ground should be 20% or 15% as I configured in setup of project). I have made a simulation. In the report, a performance ratio of 93% is mentioned. I think that seems quite high, and I’m worried that I might have forgotten something in my calculations. I have attached my PV SOL file here. I have entered the number and type of panels, the type of inverter, the orientation of the panels, and the length and size of the AC and DC cables. I have deliberately not included any shading effects. Could you please take a look at my calculation and provide some feedback? That will help me a lot. When extracting simulation results in PV*SOL using measured load diagrams from 2024, the exported files are identified as belonging to 2024, but February 29th is not included. As a result, when moving from February 28th to March 1st, there is a jump of two weekdays instead of one, causing a temporal misalignment in the exported data. Is there a way to work around this issue so that the exported results remain time-consistent?
