PV*SOL

Hello, I am new with the software. I have the load profile of 337 days in 15 minutes interval and I want to import these data into PV*Sol, so I can calculate the dimensioning of my pv system. The objective is 100% self-supply with the minimum injection. The pv system is grid connected. As I have the load profile, I chose "Grid connected PV System with Electrical Appliances". I tried to add the data in "Consumption-->New Appliance-->Impoart and load Load Profile-->Import new load profile" but it only accepts .txt files, so I copied my data array in excel but I receive the prompt "Number of data records is wrong". I've been trying to add my own load profiles (consumption data) into PV*SOL, but I keep getting this error box saying: "Conversion error in the data line: 1." What could this mean? The file I've been trying to add is a CSV-file and the only data in the file is the consumption, in kWh. Time interval is 60 min, leading to 365 days and 8760 values. Hi I am trying to import the consumption into PVsol but no matter I do I always get the error message: conversion errors in data in line 1. There are no headers and all the cells have data. I have tried it in csv and txt format. I believe its in the right format so I am not sure what I am doing wrong! Is there a template out there where you can input the data in a format that pvsol will definitely read?

Hello, I encountered a problem while creating a 3D model using Google Solar API. When i turn on the terrain model it elevates my already existing 3D object and all in all shows differently than it's supposed to be. Maybe I'm missing something, but i don't know. It's supposed to look like this, but... I Instead it looks like this: It kind of generates the original building copied off the google maps under my 3D structure and if I choose the option of cutting out the terrain model it only does this around my structure (as it says so) and if i decrease the overall height of the building to 0 (using the "Proper height" button) - it looks good but i fear…

Hi, My automatic selection of inverters times out and gives me zero selection. Specifically, i want a Growatt. I select only 'Growatt' from the inverter brand selection and select all inverters with in this group. Using the select button at the bottom and then doing automatic selection, i can see the search going through fronius and Solax. It times out at 60 secs and i have no selection. This has happened 10x times in a row. Thanks

I'd like to know if there's an option to add different structures, such as single-post or double-post. For construction purposes, it would be helpful to add this bill of materials to the project. If not, would it be possible to add 3D models to assemble them?

Hi, The value of electricity saving in financial analysis is wrong Because it's depending on how much Electric come from solar panels not how many Electricity used from solar panels for example when I have a system wothout battery or with little batteries or with many batteries the electricity saving is the same and that's actually wrong with batteries I use electricity from Solar panels more than without batteries I hope fix it in the next update.

Hi, is it possible to see lengths of + and - cables from the string to inverter, but for each string separately? I know i can se total length of the DC cables. Thanks, Gordana

Hi admins, I have a problem with roof inclination. I want to have both wings of the roof to have 8 degrees inclination. Here are my settings, but one wing appers to have inclination 16 degree and the other is 8 degree. How could I fix this? The ridge is not centered. Thanks in advance, Gordana

Hello, I have specific issue. I have two roofs with PV modules (75pcs + 24pcs) and 3 inverters (33pcs per inverter). Two of them are on roof 1, third one on roof 2 which uses 24 modules and other 9 on roof 1. On third one polystring configuration is used. The issue occurs when I try to allocate modules manually. I can do it for some modules but then after allocation of 5x 11 strings on roof 1, the other modules are freezed and unable to select/allocate them. What can I do? Additionally, module counting seems not to work properly. Matija

Dear admins, I have a question regarding performances of the system that I have created. I manually set in the program which inverters will be used, the string lengths, and their connections to the MPP inputs. The system is functioning, and there are no errors, but I don’t know how to assess whether the system’s performance is satisfactory. If there are any parts with significant losses, or any problematic spots, considering that I configured everything manually, please tell me. Also, if you could point out the fields I should check when manually setting the inverter selection and string connections, I would appreciate it. Thank you in advance, Gordana

I have downloaded and installed pvsol premium 2020. i have successfully imported a sketchup model using a DAE version. How do i re orientate the model to the correct compass setting? it is currently sitting at 180* which is close but not correct as the location is Thailand Many thanks Jimmy

Hi PVSol forum & Team Question please; how does the 'Irradiance (W/m2) of Maximum Open Circuit Voltage test' influence the calculated 'maximum quantity of modules on a string'? For example, if test irradiance is set to 1,000W/m2 then you may have a max quantity of modules on a string of 23 modules. Though if if test irradiance is set to 1,250W/m2, then you may have a max quantity of modules on a string of 22 modules etc. A difference of 1 module etc in this quick example. Question: what is the calculation formula that includes 'Irradiance (W/m2) of Maximum Open Circuit Voltage test'? Thank you in advance! Yours Jordan

Hi, My cable loss calculation value is different than PVSOL calculation, so I can't use the Detailed section to mention the losses for the same cable sizes. Can we have the option to add DC and AC cable losses separately under the total cable losses section? (maybe including cable size) During power clipping, DC cable losses will be recaptured by clipped DC power. So it needs to be defined separately. Following the example cases, 1. Centralized architecture: DC cable loss - 1.5%, AC cable loss - 0.2% 2. Decentralized architecture: DC cable loss - 0.5%, AC cable loss - 2%

Hi, I'm running into an issue here and I hope someone had the same experience and can help me. I imported the HHD successfully but the Annual Consumption and Load Peak are way to high, which is not correct, as you can see in the pictures. Have anyone else had the same problem and if yes, have you found the solution? My guess is there's something wrong with the HHD but cant figure out what. would be grateful 1-1-24.csv
