Hello, i would like to simulate and plan a several MW PV Plant in PVSol, is that convenient/possible? Anyone of you did so? How was the outcome/experiences? I want to plan my first solar park (several MW), but i dont really want to spend severl thousands of euro into a programm like Helios3D or similar. PVSol is way cheaper, so is it a acceptable way to plan with it? Best regards, JO

Dear Developers, i'm "playing" little bit with the cables planner just to see how it works and etc. i made this for example(questions below): why the cable losses AC are 0% -what i need to do in order to see something :)? because i tried to change allot of things and it's always 0% another thing: if i confirm the design above and will go to the cable losses : 1.why on the schematic drawing there is no information from the 3D cable modeling (cable length and etc.) the only thing that has some connection is the 0.95%(in gray) that mean if i want i can put it in the total losses right? Hi there, I'm trying to design a system where I'm going to use P600 optimisers by Solaredge. The optimisers will be located every other panel. At the moment the system is made up of 316 panels which means that 158 optimisers will be needed. And there it's where I get stuck. I'm using a SE82.8k solaredge inverter. I'm doing 5 strings of 26 optimisers and 1 of 28 so in total is 158 optimisers to cover 316 panels. I'm between the minimum optimisers require (14) and the maximum (30) but I get a message saying "the maximum output in string 1 of 11250W has been exceeded (Currently: 14820W)" On the MPP section I put "2 modules in series" in both strings but still not w…

Good morning, I need to simulate the following system, with PV powering both DC and AC loads and using batteries as well as a backup Diesel generator: The closest thing I can find in PV SOL is the stand-alone PV system with backup generator. Hallo Zusammen, ich habe ein Problem bei Projekten mit mehreren Wechselrichtern (z.B. Fronius) in Verbindung mit dem Solarwatt Speichersystem. PVsol kann keine Auswertung erstellen wegen folgenden Fehler: "Bei Generator-gekoppelten DC-Batteriesystemen darf nur ein Wechselrichter in der ersten Verschaltung eingesetzt werden." Soll das bedeuten ich kann sobald ich mehr als einen Wechselrichter habe und mit Solarwatt jeden Wechselrichter und jeden Tracker mit einem MyReserve ausstatte keine Auswertung damit fahren??? Hi we are designing rooftop projects in Turkey . When we prepare the PVSOL reports, we often encounter much lower specific yields than compared with simulations on same location with PVsyst, which puts us in a less preferred situation for our customers. Comparing global irradiation data from SOlargis, your values for Turkey is always at least 10-15% lower. Also when we compare the real production in same location with the output from PVSOL, we see that the real yields are at least %10 higher than PVSOL estimations. Is this normal ? How could we change the global irradiation data which meteocontrol database provides with 10% up ? or any other suggestio…

Hi, I am new here & wish I can find some help. Anyone ever have similar experience that the mounted module disappeared after save & reload? That make me unable to finish a task if I can not finish eveything in a few hours. I do need some help if anyone can share how to fix it. PS. it seems only happens when I arrange a 7 or 13 modules in vertical when placing in [Module Mounting]. After reload the project, it will appear as 6 or 12 only.

Hello, I had a hardware issue on my computer and temporary moved the license to a new machine. Now I am trying to move it back, but when choosing "Deregister" on the temporary machine, there is an error message stating "Please contact the support". Dear PVSOL support, i would like to add monthly consumption to PVSOL, for example for each month from 1-12 to add his consumption(not the annually) what is the best why to do it? i tried to play with the % of the standard year -by dividing monthly consumption by yearly but the end result is not accurate

I am using SMA Off-Grid Configurator 1.0 (R16) on a Windows 10 PC. I have tried to run the "Check for Updates" both automatically at startup and manually under the HELP selection. I get an error message of "No connection to the internet available. Program/database update not possible." The fact I can post this message shows I have internet access. Is there a setting I need to adjust on either the program or my router to allow this communication to work properly?

hello PVSol Team, I have a case with modules on 3 different buildings and i want to use E3DC S10 (All in One) system. I have selected polystring option but upon selecting E3DC inverter, PVSol throws an error informing that "this inverter has only 2 MPPT. please select another inverter or select polystring". Attached is the screenshot. Can I still use any optimizer with E3DC system (for example solaredge)?. I've seen a previous thread where it says we can use P350I. Is this allowed in Germany? If not, do you have any suggestions for an optimizer for me I use PVSol Premium 2019. Also i am not sure why i can't see inverter above 55K from Solaredge.
