Hello, I got some Updates of PV Sol, but couldnt install it because the sytsem-administrator wasn't here in a wile. So, do I just have to install the last Update "setup_pvsolpremium_2019_9", or should I install all I didn't install yet first? Of couse i would like to have all features of the updates, but are they all in the last update? Thanks for answering, kind regards

Hello Valentin Team, We simulated a projekt a couple of months back and ended up with 909 kWh/kWp Spez. Jahresertrag. But when i re-run the same simulation today, to my surprise, it increased to 929 kWh/kWp. I know year 2020 has been crazy but is it really this crazy!!!??? ?? Tja, i checked the energy balance results and i could see significant difference in multiple sections. Could you please help me understand why there is a difference here? Do you think it is because of some updates you have made or am i missing something that's changed in my simulation? I would be happy to send you the simulation file and the older pdf report in private messa…

Hello everyone, please share your best image/design created with PV Sol. Why? - To show and explain the best ways to create visually attractive solar systems. This is mine created with amazing PV Sol; A new-build housing development in the UK - instead of roofing with attractive expensive Cornish slate, the contractor wants to reduce their material costs by installing in-roof panels and experiment with how 'green' they could get. We were able show the contractor thier project in PV Sol by;Importing the site plan, altering the orientation and referencing elevation plans to recreate the neibourhood. Orange buildings highlight PV systems within public view, lighter…

Good afternoon, I'm using the PV*SOL 2020 version and I have inverter configuration problem . When I choose select configuration using Sungrow SG110CX inverter I get this error of " No suitable inverter configuration ... " But when I try to use the same inverter in manual configuration, this works well. So, What is the problem with the selection configuration ? knowing that I am using the same system with the same panels: suntech STP330-24/Vfw Kind regards

Good morning dear developers, I noticed that the Huawei SUN2000-40KTL inverter is not in the database, are there plans to upload it? I know I can do it myself, but I'm probably doing something wrong, as results are not as I expected, so I was just wondering. I'm attaching the datasheet (in Spanish, sorry) in case that helps. In the meantime, I'm not sure what the minimum feed-in power is for this inverter, so if you could help with that, it'd be great (I think my bad results may have to do with that). Thanks! Hello again, PV SOL keeps crashing with a 2,5 MWp simulation I'm running. More specifically, it does the shading simulation but it crashes when I try to run the simulation. Could some of you developers maybe look at my file to see what is the issue? I simulated 1 MWp yesterday and it was fine. Thanks!!

Dear PV SOL team, I hope you and your loved ones are all safe and healthy. I wanted to ask, is it possible to change module mounting inclination on an existing simulation? For example, if I have 1 MWp with modules tilted 30º and I want the exact same type of modules, rows, inverter configuration, everything but I just want to change the module inclination to for example 15º, can I do that somehow without having to delete everything, create a new mounting system and start from scratch? If so it would be great and save me a lot of time. Thanks for your continued support in these difficult times, thanks!!

Hello Jinko offer panels up to 470 Watt now and have for a while. Why are these new modules not being updated in the PVSOL database please? It seems very out of date? Thanks

Good afternoon, I have read on this forum the way to use optimizers with all kind of inverters, not only SolarEdge ones. For instance, In this extreme case, I would like to use optimizers on modules 1.4.1.4 and 1.4.1.5. As I have learnt I can use polystring configuration to use optimizers for a selected number of modules, for example if I want to use two optimizers I could do this. But How do I know precisely the modules that are using optimizers?, is there an order?, in that case in the above configuration I would be using optimizers on modules 1.4.1.1 and 1.4.1.2. Do I have to do the following configuration so i ensure the opti…

Hi Could you kindly clarify on the Climate Data for PV Sol. If I select South Africa, Cape Town, the Time Period says 1961-1990. However Meteonorms website says that historical data is available in hourly values from 2010 to present. What climate period is actually used and if it is for 1961-1990 how was this data found? Would the simulation results not be a bit distorted if we don't consider recent years due to global warming? Thank you

Hello dear PVSol team, I have a few questions! Which results are more precise when applying feed-in control. should the minute values be activated for <10 kWp PV systems? Is there a specific diffuse radiation model that gives better results in this case? Thanks in advance and best regards!

Hallo Valentin Team, Hope you all are enjoying the summer !! Apparently, zero grid injection systems are performing pretty bad, especially in case of unbalanced loads. We have a system performing worse than what we expected from simulations. Our theory is that this could be becasue of unbalanced load distribution on the phases where one of the phases has very low consumption which is consequently limiting the generation as the inverter has balanced output on all its phases I simulated with curtailment at feed-in point but this did not help us in preparing for what's about to come. Is there any way to make our simulations reflect such scenarios in the future…

Hi all, When I place panels on flat roof and change the row distance the total generated energy does not change. I can place them 10cm or 1m apart, it makes absolute no difference, even though in practice the 2nd and following rows will be in the shadow. Why is this not included in the simulation or am I missing something? Rob.

I've got an always present warning message "The selected from-grid tariff is not valid for the country in which the climate data record is located" However, I have selected - Climate data country Netherlands: Eindhoven RNLAFB NLD - Tariff country Netherlands (there is only one possibility) What could be wrong?

Hi guys Thinking about supporting increased remote working and mobility, I was wondering if anyone has any experience of running PV*Sol (Premier) in a public cloud service such as AWS EC2 or Azure? Specifically for AWS, the obvious next question is, which machine instance is optimal? And then, is there an Amazon Machine Image (AMI) that either includes PV*Sol, or has been tested after installing PV*Sol? Thanks and regards, Richard

Can anyone help me, I want to simulate polystring configurations with the following build ABB trio 27,6 MPPT 1 string 1 compounded of 2 strings is series on two adjacent roofs but equal slope etc. these are 7 and 10 panels trina solar 330Wp. MPPT1 string 2 17 panels parallel to string 1 MPPT2 two strings of 17 panels in parallel. When I use polystring I can't get the partial strings that are in series in parallel with the other string. Anyone knows how to do this? thanks in advance Paul

Hello, I am trying to upload climate data file into PVSol. I have converted the file into .DAT file but I keep getting "Conversion failed, Formatting error". I have reviewed the files over and over again but still getting the same error message. I have attached the file for your kind review and support. Could you please convert it into a .DAT file for me. I am using PVSOl Premium 2019 (R10) Thanks in advance. PG - 2020.xlsx Charles

Hi all, I have a question about defining a reference edge on a imported 3D model. I've replied to a topic in wich you suggested how to do this but that option is not available when I work with an imported 3D model. This reply is shown below and can be found at https://forum.valentin-software.com/topic/465-correct-angle-of-3d-extruded-map-building/: _____ Hi there, I am wondering how you can define your reference edges? As you stated: I work a lot with 3D .dae models from sketchup. When I model a building in PVSOL, I have the option to define the reference edge. When I use the 3D model I don't see this option, and I am forced to wiggle about wit…
