I made 2 simulation with same amount of DC power and 2 different panels for each model and the parameters above has weird number for one compare to the other. attached the 2 reports. I was wondering about the financial analysis; I have added in the program that the elecricity price is 1kr/kWh: In my head the "Total Payment from Utility" and PV Generator Energy (AC-grid) should be the same. What is the reason for the difference?

Hello, I am new with this software and struggling with the off-grid portion. I am looking at setting up a Schneider XW system with battery charge controller. These systems are separate systems that communicate and should also be separate in the software because I'm able to add multiple charge controllers and only one inverter to a system. Inverters and battery charge controllers are not separated in the software and how do we get around that. I also use midnite solar and other companies but doesn't seem to have this function. Hello everyone, I have a system with a hybrid inverter with its batteries, and a on-grid normal inverter. When I simmulate, battery doesn't charge at all, in the results I can see SOC stays around 15-20% all months. The problem is it sends a lot of energy to the grid which is what I am trying to avoid with the use of batteries. What can be the problem? Thanks!

Hei. Is it possible to include detailed weather data in the simulation report (similar to PVSyst)? E.g. Total Global irradiation, Diffuse irradiation, Temperature, etc.. for each month. This spart is not visible in the report and makes it very hard to compare different simulations (from different people). Further can I include the used Albedo & Soiling values for each month in the report? Thanks,

Hello, I understand that PVSOL is not designed to integrate MPPT or other charge controllers, so my consult is if the "Hybrid" configuration in the off-grid section has a higher overall effciency than just put a charge controller to charge the battery before the inverter. Aditional, we are planning to use a Victron (bidirectional inverter)-Fronius (grid inverter) configuration with pylontech batteries, will this work? Kind Regards, Miguel

The optimizer required is solar edge M2640, but the PVsol just gives me the option of filling the data for one input current. What are the values I have to input to create it? Thanks

Dear Sirs, We are trying to evaluate photovoltaic solutions for mechanical equipment that have between 1 to 120 kW of power in Off Grid mode or outside the Electric Grid. The software should also allow us to add batteries of some kind, for the autonomy of the system at times when there is no solar radiation. We appreciate that you can describe to us if your software will allow us to simulate what is described above and what is the value of the license for 3 months, for 6 months and for 12 months. How does the PVSOL Software calculate avoided co2 emissions?

Hello dear developers, I just noticed that Huawei inverter SUN2000-36KTL shows a maximum current of 26 A per MPPT: However, looking at the datasheet, that value should be 22 A: Can you please double check and if needed fix the value in PV*SOL? The difference means one or two strings per MPPT, which as you can imagine is quite significant. Thanks!!

Dear Support (or users) i have a project that i did using bifacial moduls. 1.in the energy report i would like to know what is the % of total energy coming from the rear side? where i can see this ?(i see just the gain in irradiance) 2.and how the -0.66% (bificiality 70%) is calculated Thanks

I have created building 1. And also configured an inverter and made a string layout for that building. Houses 1-5 are identical so i copied house nr 1 using the "multiply object" function. 'But this only made copies of the building,and panel layout. But not the inverter and string layout. This worked in the previous version of PV sol so please fix this.

Hello, When designing in 3d mode, the menu bar where objects, such as walls, trees, ...etc, can be added doesn't appear and cannot be configured to do so. I have tried all possible scaling options (e.g. change the monitor, adjusting the scale of apps) without success. I have contacted the technical and sales teams, but no response. I also asked other users and they reported the same problem. We own a solar system design company in the middle east and trying to use PV*SOL as the main designing software. The software seems the most promising platform for solar design out there, but with such a disappointing issue and response, we are currently looking for alternatives…

Hi Electricity savings in the financial report. On what input is this calculated? I cannot seem to figure out why this figure occurs.

I am new to PV*SOL and testing my private project successfully so far but I am puzzled about the results after a 1 minute timestep simulation. The phenomenon is best visible in a Carpet Plot (Diagram Editor) of e.g. "PV energy (DC)", "Mismatch (Configuration/Shading)" or “MPP Voltage” that shows a discontinuity at the full hour values. This shows as horizontal stripes in the plot. I tried to analyse the cause of this phenomena but the only assumption that I have is that the somewhere in the calculation hourly values are not interpolated correctly into minute values. I tested this also in the 3D Bay example (with 1 minute demand data) with the same effect. I trie…
