Hello. I have formatted half hourly data from 2020 to cover 17568 values (366 days, 2020 leap year) The data imports fine, I can set it up as 30 min intervals, but the figures are all coming out halved. For example, if the total sum on the HHD spreadsheet is 42,000, PVSOL is showing 21,000, and all of the months are halved. Any advice? Cheers Ryan

Hello, Today I tried playing with the azimuth orientation of a circular solar park my company has in development. Basically, I rotated the configuration and generated hourly values to compare. I got the following (see figure). All numbers are grid feed-in (kWh). I have two questions arising from these numbers: Generally, the yield looks approximately the same during the day for all configurations (not as much deviations as I would expect), which is weird I would say. I would expect that for example a 270 degrees orientation (so the panels aimed in east direction), the grid feed-in would be bigger in the morning than in the afternoon. Does anyone of you maybe …

We recently purchased PVSol Premium and I was surprised to find out that functionality for scheduled grid charging of batteries isn't enabled. My business is targeting mass rollout of financed smart solar + battery systems where grid charging of the battery is an essential feature of the financial model. Batteries will play as important a role in balancing wider renewables through smart grid charging (and discharging) as they will for maximising self-consumption of behind-the-meter solar generation so I would see scheduled grid-charging functionality being an essential feature of PVSol going forward. Thanks MH

I have a 2mw system that calculates fully then crashes. I have previously managed to calculate a 3mw version, then reduced the size of this and now it crashes. is there any fix, or are you able to calculate my file and send me the printout? Many thanks

Hello. After analyzing shading losses, I would like to define how exactly the modules are connected to multiple inverters. I tired to split the roof into arrays (of the same orientation but different level of shading , but PV*SOL is not fully respecting the arrays and is applying its own strategy of module configuration. How can I controll this configuration? Thank You. J. Holovsky

Hi, I have trouble with financial analysis calculation with and without battery. If I calculate with battery so level of self-sufficiency is bigger but financial analysis tell me that return of assets, amortization period and revenue or saving are same like without battery. The price of both systems are same. When I don´t change price of project and I use battery then assets, amortization period and revenue or saving should be better, not same like without battery. Please tell me when I was do a mistake. Thanks Lukas

Hello, I'd like to know how the energy losses are calculated over the years due to the degradation of the modules (in this case -20% after 25 years). When I check in the graph below, the energy production of the 1st year is 172'242.5 kWh (170'858.8 kWh for the 2nd year...). But when I check the energy balance (picture 2), the value of the energy sold is 172'958.53 kWh. How is the first year of this graph calculated? Is it possible to find these values in a CSV file? Thank you for your answer. Best,

Hi, I have a question regarding imported models in PVsol (see image). Because it is drawn with the correct elevation over the sea, it is floating in the air in the pvsol software. In my opinion, this should not affect the simulation, if anything it will make it even more correct. What is your opinion?

The issue is not important from the point of view of energy simulation but it's important from the point of view of economic simulation We are using a real consumption data from the energy meter in 2019. In Spain the network prices are differents for working days and weekends. If we use de 2014 calendar instead of the 2019 the economics calculations are incorrect. It's possible to change it?

Hi, I have designed a PV system with PVSol. For our customer, I would like to export the generated energy for every 15 minutes. Is it correct that this is not possible? Since I can only export the hourly and minute values.

Hello, I have a few questions: 1. Does it possible to check how much system have losses in DC part? 2. Does it possible to check losses in AC part from temperature factors? 3. And how to check losses from inverter? Thank you for your answers.

Hi, I am new user and I am trying to create roof mounted PV panels. I did configure inverter and I need to do cabling but when I try to do it there is an information coming out and says "In the tree view, please select a part system for automatic cabling." I don't know what to do, can you please help me?

Hello, I have a general technical question; is it ok to connect 2 strings with different modules number to one MPPT (18 and 19 for example when using the polystring feature in PV sol). I've read on some forums that there are losses due the voltage mismatch and the MPPT tracks the string with the lowest performance; but is it really a red line for PV designers or it's just not preferable and I can do it only when necessary? Thanks in advance Karam

Good morning dear developers and happy new year! (even though we are already two weeks in) Can you please point me in the direction of a detailed explanation for each of the losses shown in the energetic balance of the simulation? I'm sure there is a link somewhere, but I haven't found it. For example, how is the maximum AC power regulation calculated? I'm aware that a lot of these calculations are probably trade secrets, but I am just asking for general tips in case I ever need to go into a lot of detail with a customer (I'm already familiar with most sections in the report, but not all). Thanks!!

Dear Sir/Madam, I have a problem, that I cannot add more than 20 batteries. I try with a different battery system also but still the same problem. I have my PVSOL simulation file. Kindly find the attachment. I will wait for your response and shall be very thankful to you. PV_System_With_Battery_System.pvprj

Hei. I am trying to simulate a facade system in Norway based on real irradiation values and compare the simulation to the real system output. While the simulation is relatively accurate in summer the output in winter is very low. This is also the case if I simulate with an albedo of 90% during the winter months. According to our irradiation sensors on the facade, the real received irradiation is up to 3-4 x GHI during the winter months. If I look at the formula used to calculate the gains from the ground reflection the maximum possible gain for a facade is RTI = GHI*albedo/2 (the cos() term will be 0 as ym 90deg) I have two questions …

Hi! I'm running some simulations with Heat Pump consumer profiles. I was wondering where you got the data from. In the "Appliances" tab, it is mention that the consumer profiles are "measured values". From what year and what region are these measured value?

I can't make choices in the dropdown menu's in PV Sol. When I click the arrow the dropdown menu appears but when I move the mouse arrow there the menu get's messy and disappears. The same kind of problem occurs when I want to hide / unhide columns in the PV module database view. When I click the right mouse button the list of choices appears but when I move the mouse arrow there it disappears. Please help Many thanks

Hello, I haven't been working with the program PV Sol for that long, so I have doubts in connection with the fact that, I have situations when the customer uses 9000 kWh / year, and wants to establish PV installations with a power of 50 kWp, and sell the rest, please tell me what me need to choose in PV Sol so that the program calculates the profit from the power supply to the network.
