Hello, will the concept of BIM (building information modeling), be implemented in a future version of PV Sol? I would be interested in complex PV program like PV Sol where it is possible to import/ export ifc files, especially when it is able to show and calculate BIPV (building integradet PV).

I am interested setting up a 1200kWh Lithium battery system with a 380kW inverter. I could not succeed to generate a custom designed inverter in the PV SOL, even the MC 12 does not allow a number of e.g. 5 inverters 80kW. The inverter size is also restricted. Any idea?

Hello. I wanted to import an object from Solidworks into PVSOL. As the only compatible format was STL, I went with that. The issue is that the final import is totally white with no way to change the individual textures. Is there any way to fix this that I am missing? Thank you in advance for any replies. Radek.

Hi, I am using PV*SOL Premium 2021(R7) and MeteoSyn 5.0.30.0. and trying to import measured data to PVSOL, and MeteoSyn giving the error message of "Missing information could not be imported." I checked the Internet which is normal, also different proxy settings have been tried, still got the same error message. My .dat file is attached as follow. I would appreciate your help. Hello, Is there a way to calculate the payback time of a project when installing a retrofit battery? (So there is already a PV-system in place, but the customer wants to add a battery.) The payback should be based upon the increased lvl self-consumption and the cost of the battery expansion. Best regards, Sander

I don't use the financial analysis since I've found it lacking and have my own excel sheet for that. But every now and then I revisit functions to see if I can make them work and I'd like to be able to insert the cost of a new inverter at year 15. Is that possible?

To whom it may concern, How to have situation where the surplus of PV energy does not go to the grid, but the loads are connected to the grid to be fed by the grid when there is no PV output? Best regards, Faruk

Hi there! I've noticed there's an unusual bug in Version 2022 R2 when selecting a Climate Data location. When selecting a location in the UK, for example, BENSON (RAF), and the location pinpointer is green (the location has been selected etc etc). After pressing OK, the Location is set as Aberdaron. This also happens when selecting a location from the Location drop down menu. Not a massive fan of using Aberdaron climate data. Any chance this can be clarified/amended please? Yours, Jordan

I've notice in your software i always need to make to separate inverters one for the solar side and another in the battery. Kindly advise.

Hi, I have problems when adding consumption data. I add in 12,9% for february and 12,67% for march and everything looks ok. But it still looks like consumption is higher in march. Any tips for what I should be checking?

Hello I've got a file with 3 arrays on 3 elevations, all flat roof mounted systems one of them offset from the orientation edge When clicking the calculate button, the shading losses calculation hits 365 days, then the second calculation box pops up, closes again and it takes me to the presentation page. However, it is blank, and when I click on the calculate button it tries to run the calc again but hits the same issue. Can any advise?

Hi all, I'm struggling to import topography into my PV Sol model. I've downloaded the CSV file from the EU PV GIS website for my specific site and I have converted it to a .hor file, however when I try import to PV sol it does not update. I'm fairly certain I got all the steps correct but if anyone has a better guide that would be helpful. Thanks

Hi Strange things happening while I open 3D Modelling window - there is no icons in any section at all. In fact using 3d modelling is useless. Factory reset didn't solve the problem. Any advice ? Regards

Hi all, in the 2D simulation there is a setting "Floating PV". If I compare two exactly same systems, where I use the "Floating PV" setting for one and the "Elevated free-standing" setting for the other, the result is an additional yield of 0.4% for floating PV. Unfortunately, I do not find which differences were made for this. Can you tell me which assumptions are changed for floating PV? Many thanks in advance!

Hello. I received from one of our module providers the .PAN files of new modules to come in the market. I would like already to make a couple sims with them but couldn´t find how to insert new modules to the database using the .PAN files. Hello, I have added solar tiles to a sketched mounting surface. They are the colour black, and will be surrounded by tiles or different materials. Is there any way I could change the texture of the surface to something different so it would look more esthetical nice? (see image) Thanks for all the help
