Hello, Like the title say, i need help to shape the roof of a building in a certain way. As you can see in the image attached, my goal is to either remove that bit of the roof (the triangular bit) or find a way to make it 90º, but just that one side. I have tried the second option by adjusting the offset, but then after adjusting the building's dimensions it becomes like that. Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you for your attention, Zelev

Hi, Is it possible to add in my dimensions here? That means, choosing the distance that I want it too show? For example, I would like to know the distance shown in the green line.

Hi, I have just updated PVsol to PV*sol premium 2023R version. There is warning message and I didn't understand what I have to do to solve it. The message content as follows: the application data of your selected feed in tariff does not correspond with the defined validity. Please check your entries. Can you help me to understand what does the message mean and how can I remove this message? Thank you in advance

Hello, Currently we are developing 500kW PV ground-mounted farm project using the PVsol, from the southern edge of proposed area there is a small hill, I want to know how this will impact on shading and how to create horizon data. Thank you

Hello, I have a question why I am getting different results of Shade Frequency? Yesterday I’ve simulation results with higher digits (photo no.1). Today with same modules place I’m getting smaller values (photo no.2). Please look at modules covered above. I think in second photo PV*SOL not estimated shadows from the upper roof. But why it did yesterday? I’m really afraid that my previous projects were wrong calculated due to shading… House: Best Regards, Vilmantas

Hi team, could you please kindly explain to me why most of annual yield goes on to the grid first instead of the annual electrical consumption + battery? I've attached the project file. Is there any setting that I should change? Thank you and have a nice day. Regards, Zahra

Im testing out PVSOL on a standalone pv system with generator. Im using "regulation based on battery status", start 10% stop 50% for the generator ("reg. based on appliance load" unchecked). When I look through the csv-simulation data in excel (see attached screenshot) it shows the generator (column D, "Backup generator energy") starting even though the battery SOC (column C) is at 96%. Why is it doing this? Edit: "Indicated consumption" is not so high that there's a need to start the generator to keep SOC above 10%. Battery or battery inverter are not limiting factors as far as i can tell.

Hello, First of all, sorry for much details in my question but it is necessary to describe the problem. I have solar residential PV system in Germany, I am facing a problem and I hope to get help . The DC power of the system is 9430 W (9.4 KWp) with 23 luxor 410W PV modules connected with SMA Sunny Tripower 10.0KW. The inverter has 2 MPPTs (A:2/B:1). The inverter has Max. input current input A (20A) / input B (12A), and Max. DC short-circuit current input A (30A) / input B (18A). The PV module Impp is 12.9A and the short circuit current of the module is 13.72A Now the problem as follows: At the beginning we had 24 modules divided into 2 strings,…

Hi, Inverter maximum DC power is not a mandatory design limit parameter for array sizing. The maximum array size that can be connected to an inverter should be determined by the maximum short-circuit DC input current rating and the maximum input voltage rating. Even this is removed from the latest IEC 62894. Can we introduce an option like a checkbox near this data, so that users can disable this from PVSOL calculation?

Hi , I would like to know the AC output of the system, but the values could not be found in the simulation hourly values results(excel file). What I did right now is that I used the Grid feed-in energy as the hourly AC output of the inverters, however the values are much lower than the nominal power of inverters which is unreasonable.

Dear All, I would like to use very recent climatological data, like from 2022. The KNMI allows a downloading a txt file that contains hourly data of temperature, solar radiation, and about 20 more parameters. How would it be possible to use this data in a PVSOL or maybe a PVSYST simulation. Or any other software for that matter. The ultimate goal is to calculate a performance ratio based on this very recent climate data. Thanks a lot, in advance. P.s. i am a PVsol user.

Muchas gracias

We have been using PVSol2019 on different computers with different people, and always got similar results for kWh. But since we decided to test V.2021 on one single computer, that single one keeps getting way too high results, when comparing to V2019 or other simulation tools (eg 4100kWh for 2021 against 3500kWh on 2021). Notes: 1. On 2019 all modules and inverters were input manually, while on 2021 they were imported automatically. 2. We crosschecked specifications and simulation parameters and the all seem ok. 3. Efficiency % looks is funky, and preety low on 2021, and we don´t know why. 4. We imported the library from 2019 into 2021, didn´t wor…

I'm new to PVsol and am experimenting with it in the UK. As far as I know, the best climate data to use in the UK is from SAP 2012, specifically this: https://www.bre.co.uk/filelibrary/SAP/2012/SAP2012_weather_data.xls Please correct me if I am wrong. How best to import this data into PVsol? Thank you.

Hallo, in der Wechselrichterdatenbank ist der SE25K mit einer "Maximale DC-Leistung (Modul STC)" von 33.750W hinterlegt.
