How can I update the 'from-grid tariff' so that it accurately calculates the financial offset/benefit of the direct PV energy consumption within the dwelling? I have created my own tariff in the database but it doesn't seem have been applied to the simulation. New UK price cap for electricity is ~£0.52/kWh but back calculating the financials in the PV Sol output suggests around £0.127/kWh! Thanks

Hi again everyone, I made a simulation for a 5-car solar parking structure and I don't know if what I've done makes sense, maybe I could use some ideas. Basically I chose the 3D option with electric loads and EV. For the electric load I put the minimum (1kWh) as I only want to simulate the EV charging. I added the 3D model made in Sketchup and put some customized panels so the carport reaches the desired power (15,5 kWp total). I selected 5 EV from Monday to Saturday from 8am to 18pm, it's a shopping center. I want the model to be always charging during the day (car goes out another one comes in). Hi, I have a project and I face some difficulties to deal with irregular gabled roof. Is there any possibility to model the gabled roof shown in the figure in PVsol? The problem I don't know how can I deal with these edges ( yellow circles) in PVsol, since drawing the roof from the map doesn't give the real shape of the gabled roof.

I am a begginer in PVSOL and pv systems, so maybe i am doing something wrong, when i place the rows of modules and try to make the shading frequency nothing appears on the surface of the modules. And after selecting the inverter and trying to make the cable plan, no option appears.

Greetings. I have the problem that I can not adjust the wiring limits regarding the dimensioning factor for Solar Edge systems. The changes in the options is only applied to non Solar Edge inverters. Is this the way it is intended? Is there somewhere an extra option for Solar Edge sizing factors?

Dear All, Let's imagine the following Scenario PV installed Capacity 40KWp Inverter size 80kW choosing this size for the installed DC capacity prohibits the program from finishing the simulation although the MPPT voltage and current ranges are within the allowed limit when choosing array connection! if the inverter size >>>> PV installed capacity, it shouldn't stop the program finishing the simulation. Hi, I have a question regarding this theme. The total power of my 3D design is 82,68 kWp, which means according to my feed-in tariff I'll get 0,0474 €/kWh. And I also set my own grid tariff for 0,2 €/kWh. But why do I get 0,00 % of my IRR, although I have 72.518 kWh/Jahr of surplus supply to the grid?

Hello everyone! I am having an issue while importing models from Sketchup. The thing is that if the model has textures such as paint or concrete PVSOL doesn't recognize that surface and it is impossible to place solar modules on that surface. Here I attach a picture where the white surfaces doesn't have any texture and are recognized, and the grey one is concrete where I can't place modules. I also try importing the model without textures and change it using the 'texture' command within PVSOL but it was not possible as this option doesn't appear when I right click in the surface. Hope someone can help me and thanks in advance! Esteban

Dear PV*SOL Team, I have a question regarding PV annual degradation rate. As you can see in the below images, I have considered inflation rate and interest on capital rate as zero to find a relation to annual degradation rate. In the first image you can see it has zero degradation rate, but in second image I have considered 80% degradation within 25 years. Can you please let me know how PV*SOL calculate here annual degradation rate? Thanks in advance

Could it be that the parameters in the database of inverter APSystems DS3 are incorrect in PV*SOL? Under DC section: "Max. Input Current in A" is set to 20 A I believe this should be 40 A because it seems to be the total of both of the two inputs. Just like with other inverters that have two inputs.
