Hi, I have a drone flight processed in metashape and I want to import it to PVSOL to simulate panel instalation. At first the model was upside down, I managed to rotate it back to the upwards position, however it is still in the wrong rotated in relation to the North. I also managed to rotate the model aproximately to the right orientation and perform the simulation. But the fact that I had to manually move the model to the right position indicates that it's not georreferenced. The radiation simulation must consider the geographic position and orientation of the model to be considered thuthful. How can I make sure that my model is georreferenced correctly? …

The inverter has two MPPTs, and single string for each MPPT.Have single string of Panels. I want to connect this single string to both the MPPTs together. How do I configure it in PV SOL ?

I got latly new PC and tried to download PV*SOL on it. I have my 2020 R8 license and tried to download the softwere to work on it but after i click on setup downloader the PC stopped and imedietly crushed with bluescreen and restarted right after. What are my options now? Why is it crushing every time. Is the upgrade of the license my only options for downloading old softwere on new PC?

Working closlely with building companies they often want a 3D model of the house that they are building. When will it be possible to export the 3d building from PV Sol? (so that you can 3D print the model amongst other things)

Hello, I'm new to the forum. We have a site that has exiting solar with an export agreement (50kW DC) with 50kW AC inverters with 50kW export. The DNO have approved another 50kW of AC, which will will oversize to circa 65kW DC, with a total site export of 50kW (not increased) I have historic HH export and import data, but I can't find a way to load the export data into the modelling. I have tried using negative numbers on the import data - but PVSOL doesn't like negative values here. Any solutions?

Dear Colleagues, Is it possible that there are errors in the software in the battery charging/discharging simulation process? I ask this because I simulated a project with 3Mwp/2.4Mw and a 1.6Mwh/0.6MW battery and in the load production curve it seems to me that the rule given by me regarding the load-discharge intervals is not respected? Hello Support, I have created a design on a site with the same system size on PVSol & PVSyst but it gives me the difference of 50kWhrs/kWp/year. As per my understanding, in PVSyst there is much more flexibility as compared to PVSol of the loss consideration and they are set up differently in both software so it's obvious the result will come differently. Hi friends I have a question about the energy flow chart. You can see my project energy flow. I do not understand that, if my pv system generate 188.107 kWh of energy why my load can not use 156.386 kWh. why does my load get energy from the grid ( 90.695)?. How does pvsol calculate it? can you explain me? I want to make the report for the customer so I want to show how much energy pv system generates and which part of that energy is exported to the grid and the load used? ( sorry for bad English ).

Hi forum team, I am trying to simulate a behind the meter PV+Storage system in PVSol. I have two questions regarding my project: 1. Can you please help me understand where to add the grid export limit information? My project has a 180KW export limit granted by the distribution grid operator. 2. I want to use the BESS to maximise self-consumption. Do I need to look at "Own Power Consumption" or "Level of Self-Sufficiency" parameter in the production forecast section of the project documentation? Thank you for your help!

Is there a way in PVSol to detail the monthly production forecast values? For example, in January there will be xxxkWh production, in Febraury there will be xxxkWh production. Something like the image below, or a auto-made table with the values allready populated? Thank you in advance!

Hello, I came across some problems when I started to try mounting pv modules on facades with an angle. I'd like to mount pv modules on a zigzag facade as shown in the file, while being flat to the facade (the facade being 15 degrees). It seems the custom modules I put in the database can't be placed even though I over dimensioned it to try and get them to fit. When placing the modules with a mounting angle greater than 15 degrees it works but when placed at 15 degrees it gives an error. Is it possible to get the panels to align with the facade or should I make the facade flat and input a 15 degree angle in the mounting? Also when trying to get it to work with a small…

Hi there I noticed that there was an update to the SolarEdge Inverters and when I looked at the SE50K Unit - 25kW which is the new inverter from the update and the other 50K inverter I use the SE50K-EU-AUS/APAC is now no longer available for me to use. When I checked the data for the Inverter compared to the datasheet I noticed it was set for the 25kW inverter and all values were different from the datasheet from SolarEdge's website. I ran a PVSol using this inverter and when I compared it to a previous design I done of the same set up I noticed the sizing factor ended up over 268% rather than the 138% I originally had. In a case with PV and a battery the export power is limited to 0kW by feed-in clipping. The battery is charged/discharged according to a time schedule. Discharging of the battery is limited due to feed-in clipping, but it still affects the SoC. Therefore the battery is charged with energy from the grid more than it should. In the screenshots it's visible that the battery SoC is significantly reduced even though most of the power is clipped. The C10 of the battery is 462,3kWh, so the 3,7kWh discharge for consumption should only be 0,008 of the SoC but the change is much higher (although not exactly 86.281/462,3). Hi all, Hoping someone can clear this up for me. I came across the Livoltek Hyper-5000 inverter in PVSOL. However, I noticed the PV panels where easily exceeding the Current of the inverter. I notice that the Input current & Short circuit current values (in the 'Electrical data- DC' section) are the same as the values on the MPP inputs ('MPP Tracker' section). However, should it not be the case that for the current values in the 'Electrical data - DC' section, the MPP current values are multiplied by the number of MPP trackers (in this case 2, as there are 2 inputs on this inverter).
