PV*SOL

Our installation partner feedback a question recently. When they plan in the PV SOL, our battery info is wrong. I have checked our account, the basic data is right on the Battery page. But we don't fill the information on the Battery System（Grid-Connected）page. Should we need to fill in the product info on this page？ I have send some emails to find help. But I didn't get feedback.

Hi, For a project I need to calculate the monthly PR values, what would be the best way to do this? I noticed the result page has performance ratio per inverter, how to I calculate the 'project' total PR from this. Should I average the values for every month? or maybe weighted average (sum of (WPx inverter pr) divided by total WP) or should i dive deeper and just use the PR formula to calculate the monthly Pr values thanks in advance Peter

I spent a lot of time setting up the geometry for a half hipped roof in the 3D model. Unfortunately, I can't use the roof as one area (there are separate Attic Storey 1 and Attic Storey 2) so I can't fit maximum panels on there. Is there another solution to this problem ?

During the design process of a solar facade our architect got the idea to maybe tilt individual modules to get a more interesting looking facade. Now I want to investigate the influence of shadows due to different tilt angles of nearby modules on the yield using the shade frequency tool (see following picture). Hi, We have had some concerns with the accuracy of financial modelling when using the time-controlled charging but today we have inadvertently stumbled on a test case where it demonstrates that this aspect of the modelling does not appear to be working correctly. I would like to have the hourly profile - the grid export can be 150KW. we want to investigate how much energy is surplus and maybe could be used by nearby neighbouring users. what would be the best way to model this case? 1) at first I modelled the system and put the export limitation at 150KW ,and add grid limitation inverter level -> grid export is the exported energy whereas Clipping on account of the max. I have been using a combination of WebODM, 3DF Zephyr, and Metashape for the last 2 years. 3D visualization has always seemed to be very particular and finicky. Textures do not display, 3D visualization freezes, systems lags, and other glitches. The PC is not slow by any means with a i7-10750H processor, 128GB of DDR4 RAM, 4TB NVME SSD. It seems that PV*SOL is limiting itself to how many system resources that it will consume. I am trying to get our 3D modeling and photogrammetry process to be smooth and work reliably. Hello, What happend to Solaredge inverters in PVsol. Earlier we had no issues but since they were changed to weird configurations. There are so many variants of one type of inverter for example while solarEdge designer tool has just 33.3K for example. It causes issues in PVsol design giving very low yield. Why thet were updated to something that doesn't work??

Ein Problem, welches mir auffällt ist, da nach Recherchen im Internet auch ein bifaziales Modul bei ca. 30 Grad Neigung bei Südausrichtung am meisten Ertrag liefert. Daher ist es für mich verwunderlich wieso dann bei 90 Grad Neigung die PV-Anlage am meisten Ertrag liefert. Christoph

Hello, I haven't found any clear information or straightforward suggestions for how to do curved roofs on PVSol. I saw one suggestion to make 2m wide single pitched roofs and join them together, but if the building is large or complicated, this option will take too long. Another suggestion I received was to add attic layers to the pitch roof, but this doesn't work for me. Could someone please show me a step-by-step solution? I am running a simulation for a SolarEdge simulation using detailed cable losses and I am seeing some strange results when plotting the MPP voltage graph. Example graph below, I have two near identical inverters with near identical strings, the only difference is one has 10m of string cable per string, the other has 200m of string cable per string. Why would the system be spiking at over 1400V when the losses are higher? This only occurs as the string losses increase, as when I set the DC cable to something large like 25mm2 the voltage spikes are eliminated. Any ideas what is happening? Thank you,

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, ich habe das Problem das wenn ich eine Planung mit Speicher erstelle, mir der Speicher hinterher in der Simulation nicht mit angezeigt wird! Er taucht in der Materialliste auf und auch die Auswahl von Batteriesystem sollte richtig sein. Ich weiß nicht mehr woran das liegen könnte, dass der Speicher in der Simulation nicht auftaucht.

Hello, I have a question regarding one of my designs... This might be a silly question but I was wondering how figures were calculated in PVSol. So in this case: Consumption: 369, 016 + 80 inverter PV generation: 204,252 - 118,978(to be consumed) - 54,883 (to the grid) = 30,391 ?? where 30k dissapears? Many thanks in advance.
