PV*SOL

Hello and good morning/afternoon, I would like to use the Photo Plan software but unfortunately I can't find the exec. I mention that I have the PV*SOL Premium 2024 (R1). In this case I'm searching in the windows bar for the software and it's not there. When I've installed the software I didn't had any mark to choose from for this software. Could you please give me the steps or how could I use the software? Thank you!

Can PVSol simulate 30 years production including module degradation? I only find it for 1 year.

Hello, While using PvSol Premium and 3D modeling, I get error message that says " this value causes a collision or pvsol... " How can I fix it or can it be fixed? Thanks

Dear Valentin Team, I would like to simulate one off-grid system which a have both PV inverter (in this case Fronius) and MPPT Battery Charger. Respectively their configuration will be AC coupling for the fronius and DC coupling for the MPPT Charger. Finally I will have a Victron Multiplus as Battery Inverter. Do you know if is possible to simulate this all? Are MPPT Battery Charger from Victron already included in the database? Thanks and best regards

I have the following issue: I can process my drone footage into a 3D file format (DAE, OBJ, and more). However, I'm facing difficulty properly importing the models with texture into PV SOL. The error consistently indicates an excessive pixel count. It seems the size should not exceed 4094 pixels. Now, here's my question: When such an excellent program is developed with an import interface, there must be instructions available on precisely how to edit the file for a successful import. Hi, After seeing the new update, I was really happy to see the forced battery charging being included. I would like to ask if you could add an option to dictate set months, where the battery would force charge. This would be a great option to allow for the winter months to charge from grid and offset reduced solar production. This could be implemented in a similar way to dictating when an EV will be charged using tick boxes. Loving the new update, keep up the good work. Thanks Robert

Hello The Max short circuit DC in A for the Sungrow SG125CX-P2 inverter in the PSol database does not match the datasheet's data. I annexed the prints and pdf. Hi, I am designing a system, nothing huge - just a 6kW system, however I'm planning on using a Hypontech hybrid inverter, but I cannot see the inverter I wish to use. I was planning on using the HHS6000 but it is not listed. Who would I speak to about getting Hypontech's entire hybrid line added? Thanks

Dear support, I created an easy East-West system on trapezodial roof with the tilt 17° and azimuth 278° (almost eastwest) and the program is calculating specific production 1033kWh/kWp. I compared it with PVGIS and there is specific production 890kWh/kWp which is much more real number. Could you recommend me where is the problem in PVSol? Losses are set generally as program has and those I haven't changed at all. Thank you very much for you help. Miroslav

Dear support, please check datalist of a new inverter Sungrow SG125CX-P2. In PVSol library of this inverter are some discrepancies in parameters such as maximal voltage and voltage range MPPT. Thank you for correcture. Miro

Dear support, I would like to please if it would be possible to make text of modules higher. When I get to tool Drawing and BOM there is also string plan. When I export it into DXF the label of module for example 2.1.1.1 is too low and unreadable after printing. Would be great to have a text higher and readable. Second think is if it would be possible to export electrical drawing into DWG or DXF file as well. Thank you very much. Miroslav

When I download the PV sol premium this is showing your trial period has expired and after the programme is not licenced.I have downloaded trial version many times after uninstalling previous setup from uninstall program and in searching local disk C and recyclebin. Why Pv sol premium is not working before I have already used trial version. Hi, I loaded a .obj 3d-object with a corresponding .mtl file and it worked fine. But now when I open the project file again in PV*SOL Premium 2018 the materials are not loaded. I have already placed all the solar panels and would prefer not to reload the model. All the files are in the same folder. Is there anyway to solve this issue? Best regards, Martin

Hello, Can PVSol update the BESS components of Huawei in the database? They release their commercial and industrial BESS and also their iSitePowerM. If not possible, I hope users can import the file like for modules (PAN file) to the database because we cannot import files with the latest version. Because if I'm gonna simulate it in PVSol using Huawei solutions, I don't need battery inverter like in SMA since its integrated to the power modules that they have for their BESS solutions. I hope someone can assist me on this. Thank you.

Hello, I'm just getting started with PV*Sol. I'm creating a project with 2 strings of panels of Sunpro SP400-108M10. Comprised of 1 x string of 8 panels in series and 1 x sting of 12 panels in series. I have selected an inverter which is a Solax X1-hybrid 6.0 G4 which has 2 MPPs. I have assigned each string to its own MPP and I'm seeing Red Cross on the Inverter selection. Clicking on the cross shows an error against the Inverter at the "Current in A" graphic. In red text it says Current under STC: 26 (while Max. Input Current: 16 and Max. short circuit current: 20). Hi, Could someone give short explanation about the difference between module coverage and module mounting. I want to start a simulation for floating PV with different tilt angle. And what I experince until now are, that I could choose the type of installation by module coverage, in this case I choose Floating PV, but then I can't modify the tilt angle of the modules, ain't I? I just marked that I could modify my tilt angle on the icon of Module Mounting, but then I can't choose the type of installation to be Floating PV. Or is there another way? Good morning, if I add a Solaredge battery (DC, directly connected to the Solaredge inverter) to my PV.Sol-project, the produced energy goes down from 8.1 kW to 7.6 kW. I traced that down to the DC/AC-conversion (german DC/AC-Wandlung), which has a loss of 266 kWh without battery and a loss of 665 kWh with the battery. I do not understand this. The difference between loading the DC-battery and unloading it is just 88 kWh - this I can understand. Why should there be much higher losses in the DC/AC-conversion, if a DC-battery is added? Exact inverter and battery used: StoreEdge SExK-RWS + 1 x Home Batterie BAT-05K48 (4.6 kWh)

Hi, I have faced a strange pattern when using the PVGIS (2005-2020, PVGIS-SARAH2/ERA5) weather file. As you can see on the attected picture. I achieve a higher kWh/kWp at SW orientated PV panels than S. Furtheremore, the E values are very low and the W is very high. This makes me suspestion how that is possible. I suspect it could be because of the data maybe doesn't take into account we do the summertime/wintertime switch, and there for looking better than it is. Anyone there has some good explaniation on this? it is the exact same location, just two apperantly very different meteofiles. the laocation is Zealand in Denmark. Hope anyone have a good …
