Is there anyway to copy a building with modules or roof objects on it? I was working on a project recently and basically had 9 identical buildings with same roof objects and panels. I was able to copy the building since they are same building but on each buildings i had to place the roof objects and modules which takes so much of my time as it was over 10,000 modules. If there was a way to copy buildings with roof objects and panels on it that would be helpful.

Hi, just wondering if anyone knows how to change the inverter numbers once they have been configured, currently have 16 inverters and not in any sort of of order, plus I have a number 17 and '15' is missing. We use PVSOL for design reference for all our drawings and would be great to have inverter numbers that make sense. Thanks Tim

Hi I have a setup with 4 inverters, and the feed-in to the main panel must be max 200A in total. The inverters are all same model and size, and each at 70A. So the total are 280A How do we set this up correct in PV sol? Thanks,

Hi, Here in Denmark we have all the spot prices readily available from a public API. I trust you have the same in DE? So why is the PV calc's base on fixed, manually entered values??? With more and more solar and wind on the grid, prices seem to be very low when the solar panel are producing at their max, often even negative. That gives a poor ROI. It would be nive if PV*SOL could use the real data and provide the true picture, so we don't have to invest in solar blindly or based on overly optimistic report.

Is it somehow possible to add more consumption data in a pv*sol project and define which part of the pv plant is connected to a specific consumption? e.g. I am working on a project where a large company wants a solar system. They have 3 transformer stations, each with its own electricity meter, from which I have data. Due to the Danish regulations, I must have distributed their solar system on their meters. Can you define which part of the total plant in a pv*sol project belongs to a specific consumption? Or do you have to create a project for each sub-plant so that pv*sol does not see it as a plant with a total consumption?

Is there a way to set how the battery should be charged, e.g. ; battery first or charge with 30% solar energy the rest for the house/grid.

Hi, So from the images below you can see that on the report I have a Spec. Annual Yield of 1116.18 kWh/kWp. (521,192/1116.8= 466.76kWp) Does this Spec Annual Yield take into account the performance ratio as 95.85%? So if the PR was 100% would the Spec Annual Yield would be close to 1164.5? But on the PV System Energy Balance I have different to figures as below: Best regards Carl

Hi, i'm relatively new and on my way to do PV planning professionally. I thougt i'd try a a 3D photogrammetry aproach to do the planning in a way like create a bunch of serial photos via drone (DJI Mini 2 in my case) of the object use Agisoft Metashape (or Pix 4D) to build a textured mesh export the OBJ and use it in PVSol Pro get an awsome looking model for the offer 😅 Reason for this is that im located more on the countryside, Google Image quality is typically pretty bad, and most of older houses have no plan available. And if you calibrate the model with some known distances the accuracy of the 3D model is very good. 1-2cm detail…

Any ideas why this would happen after importing a model. The model was created with 3DF Zephyr and the original model is clean. It doesn't seem to do this with OBJ files from other software. The same file loads in Cloud Compare with no problem.

Hi all! I want to ask a question to which I have not found an answer for myself. Maybe someone can explain what's wrong? When simulating a 2 MW solar power plant with azimuth 180 the program produces 1625.19 kWh/kWp, with azimuth 210 the program produces 1680.12 kWh/kWp. How is that even possible? Such an effect on both bifacial and monofacial modules. In other programs, the calculation shows the deterioration of generation with any change in azimuth. The difference is more than 3%, so this question is very important. Thank you!

Hello PV*Sol Team, Recently I observed a change in data for PIKO inverters. In the manufacturer datasheet https://www.vpsolar.com/en/product/kostal-piko-ci-30-50-60-kw/ the max system voltage is 1100V for PIKO 60 but in PV Sol its limited to max MPP voltage (960V) which I think should not be correct. Can you please check and clarify if I am going wrong somewhere because 2months back I planned a project using this inverter and Solarwatt 405Wp modules, that time I could connect 24modules in a string but now its limited to 23modules due to this voltage limit change which would change the complete string planning. Also, would it be correct to connect modu…

Hello, A friend wanted me to make a PV*Sol report of his system. I noticed that he have used one string with 8 panels and one with 9 on the same MPPT. Is it possible to do this in PV*Sol? Also, how would this affect the production?
