Panels number in east-west arrays

Recommended Posts

Hi

when designing east-west arrays, the default numbering of panels is like in below figure:

allocation_bad.thumb.JPG.3bab4590fb0b9b7b2ce4a048fdaaaed2.JPG

this type of nuberig results in a string diagram like below figure, which is not correct

stringsbad.thumb.JPG.31a52174d03c077c53583a6b60275764.JPG

the correct numbering of panels should be like this:

allocation_ok.thumb.JPG.8002795f8dd6c51aee349a28c93feb08.JPG

resulting in a string diagram like this, which is correct

Can i achieve this configuration without moving panels manually?

Hi there,

you can change the sequence of modules or strings in Menu : Options - Module Configuration - Sorting - Sequence of modules - Course :  meander (instead of simpel)

I hope that would be helpful.

Hello Mircea Balatescu

Thank you for your request and thank you for your response, @Sam.

For being able to number your configuration like you did show in this screenshot:

you should know about the selection of modules in the 3D environment first.
Instead of configuring all modules at once you could pre-select the rows you wish to configure separately by drawing selection, holding CTRL for adding to the selection and adding them to the configure dialogue via the context-menu:

(1) Right-click
(2) Configure the selected modules

By doing this preparation your automatic numbering should be more easy.

Kind regards
Frederik
