  1. Hello Max, yes, the efficiency always depends on the general conditions, because only under optimum conditions will you achieve maximum efficiency. Whether the 98% is normally the case or not, I can't say for sure, because as you yourself said, it depends on the whole system. Kind regards, Marcel
  2. Hello Fabiano Santos, we are aware of this missing feature. Unfortunately, this is a complex process to implement in existing soure code. This feature will come one day, but I can't say when. Kind regards, Marcel
  3. Hello Borlingmax, nice question The results can be difficult to read and interpret, especially with power optimizer. Basically, the losses have changed category, which can lead to confusion. With the PV system without Power Optimizer you have losses due to shading. Module-specific partial shading Diodes (losses caused by the bypass diode of a totally shaded pv module)) Mismatch (Configuration/Shading) By using power optimizer you can avoid losses due to mismatching, but you now get new losses due to DC conversion from the power optimizer (DC Conversion/Down control). In your case, the power optimizers have an efficiency of 98% because you have 2% conversion losses. In addition, the power optimizers managed on your PV system to avoid total shading by controlling the i-v curve of the PV module. As a result, the losses from total shading (diodes) are now partial shading losses. I hope that makes the results more understandable. Kind regards, Marcel
  4. Hello Tim, you have to derigster your licence. The steps would be: Select in PVSOL under "Help" to "Registration" Copy your serial number to a safe place Press the Button "Change Registration" Press the Button "Deregister Serial Number" Deinstall PVSOL Install PVSOL on the new computer Register with the old serial number Kind regards, Marcel
  5. Hello Jan Sorensen, The easiest way to simulate a bificial PV system is to use bifacial pv modules. The bifacial factor must be set for the selected PV module. For further information, have a look at our help: https://help.valentin-software.com/pvsol/2019/pages/pv-modules/bifacial-modules/ Kind regards, Marcel
  6. Hello Vishnu, In Germany you have to pay for your own consumed energy (which was generated by the PV system). This is regulated by the tariff "EEG 2018 - Umlage auf Eigenverbrauch - Alle Anlagenarten". Thus they must pay 1306.03 EUR ("Eigenverbrauchsabgabe") in the first year. For your other tariff "EEG 2018 (Oktober) - Gebäudeanlage" you receive 963.75 EUR ("Einspeisevergütung"). Your total payment in the first year is therefore -342.72 EUR ("Gesamtvergütung im ersten Jahr"). Kind regards, Marcel
  7. Hello Marta Gonçalves, what an unpleasant error message. I guess the reason is a broken 3D model. Could you provide us the project file, so that we could have a look at it? Kind regards, Marcel
  8. Hello Vishnu, This value is particularly important for single-phase inverters as they are only connected to one phase. Three-phase inverters are evenly connected to all phases and therefore (usually) have no asymmetrical loads on the grid (with a 3-phase grid). In addition, this value refers to the AC part of the PV system, so it does not matter how many strings your inverter has. In addition, this option has no influence on the simulation. It is only of an informative nature, e.g. for PV systems in Germany, where only a maximum of 4.6 kVA is permitted as unbalanced (asymmetrical) load. Kind regards, Marcel
  9. Hello Vishnu, Yes, that's true, the warning is not entirely clear. You will get the warning if the "Unbalanced load" option is enabled. Then you get a warning if the load difference between two phases is greater than the set value. e.g. 1 inverter with 5 kVA at a 3 phase grid Power connected to the conductor L1 : 5 KVA L2: 0 L3: 0 max difference : 5 kVA -> warning message Kind regards, Marcel
  10. enough Hello FeRm00, Sorry for the misunderstanding about my post. My post said that we will contact the manufacturer so that you do not have to worry about it. Usually it should be enough to send an info about the desired products to database@valentin-software.com and then we will take care of it. Depending on the manufacturer, this process may take some time. Kind regards, Marcel
  12. Hello Pibisimo, for such questions you can also contact our database team at database@valentin-software.com directly. Nevertheless, I asked there about this. Kind regards, Marcel
  13. Hello Vishnu, I'm not sure I understand your question(s) correctly. I am not aware of any regulations due to the simulation deviation in Germany. If you are looking for simulation accuracy, there was a test from NREL (a bit older, https://www.valentin-software.com/en/references/pvsol-software-test) and a comparison of simulation results with measurement data from two different PV systems, which we published in a German PV magazine (https://www.valentin-software.com/sites/default/files/fachartikel_vertraege_bei_verschattungen_18-06-pvd-valentin.pdf). Kind regards, Marcel
  14. Hello Alexclavijon, to answer your questions first, there is no way to disable the desired program functions. In general, you should be able to simulate a project without load shredding. The simulation is aborted if the power provided by the PV system and the battery is not enough to meet the needs of the connected load. Without seeing the project, it's also hard to tell what the exact problem is. I would guess you have a load peak that cannot be covered by the PV system and the battery.
  15. Hello Renan, the total stand-by consumption also depends on the irradiation/ climate data of the selected location. This means that a site has reached more phases in which the inverter has not reached its minimum feed-in energy from the pV system, so the inverter switches to stand-by mode. (https://help.valentin-software.com/pvsol/2019/databases/components/inverter/#electrical-data Kind regards, Marcel
  16. Hello Alexclavijon, Yeah, that is the wrong file. You have looked at the installation directory/folder, instead you have to take the file under your user directory under "C:\Users\YourUserName\Documents\Valentin EnergieSoftware\PVSOL premium 2019\PVSOL.ini". Kind regards, Marcel
  18. Hello Alexclavijon, Regarding your first question, you have to decide which scenario you want. Because a constant load profile and the same energy consumption per month are two different things. For example, if you have a constant daily consumption of 10 kWh, the total consumption for January is 310 kWh (10 kWh * 31 days) and the total consumption for February is 280 kWh (10 kWh * 28 days). To get a monthly constant load profile of e.g. 310 kWh, you would need a daily consumption of 10 kWh for months with 31 Days, and 10.3 kWh for months with 30 days. Regarding your second question: For off-grid systems, only battery inverters from SMA are currently available. If you want a different battery inverter, you must create it yourself. You should find all the necessary information in the data sheet. Kind regards, Marcel
  19. Hello Boris, in the 3D visualization no PV systems with a tracking system are possible. If you want to simulate a PV system with tracking, you have to do without the 3D visualization. Kind regards, Marcel
  20. Hello emilioalmeda, You got three possibilities. Use multiple PVSOL buildings and combine them as needed Build the building as a polygon Use and import 3D models you have created yourself (e.g. with SketchUp)
  21. H allo GeromeK, Meteonorm 7.3 wird spätestens in der Version 2020 R1 kommen, also im Herbst diesen Jahres. Viele Grüße, Marcel
  22. Hello Mohamed Khaled, it's pretty hard to say because it depends a lot on your project and your design decisions. The best is of course a PR of 100% and losses of 0%, the negative impact depends on the project. Kind regards, Marcel
  23. Hello Marta Gonçalves, Thank you very much for this information. We will have another look at it. Kind regards, Marcel
  24. Hello Alok kumar, which PVSOL version does this error occur? Have you tried to reinstall PVSOL? Kind regards, Marcel
