Dennis Indutecc Posted November 13, 2018 Report Posted November 13, 2018 Martin I often have problems placing a cable node on flat roofs (small and big installations) but i have no clue why. The symbol for placement remains grey so I can't select it and cable plan can't be created. Can you explain where it goes wrong? Quote
developer_mh Posted November 14, 2018 Report Posted November 14, 2018 Hi Dennis, the cabling feature is unfortunately not supported for module mountings right now. This is why you can't place anything there. You can use the cabling feature for modules that are placed directly on the roofs (Module Coverage). Kind regards, Martin Quote
patrik k Posted December 18, 2018 Report Posted December 18, 2018 Hi! I have tried to do a cable node on a module coverage installation but that does not work either. When will cable node work on flat roofs and installations not mounted directly on a roof? Quote
developer_mm Posted December 19, 2018 Report Posted December 19, 2018 Hi Patrik, if you placed your modules directly via Module Coverage and confgured them with an inverter you should be able to use the cabling feature, regardless of whether it is a flat roof, an open area or another building. Unfortunately I can't say when it will be possible to use the cable feature for module mountings. Kind regards, Marcel Quote
patrik k Posted December 20, 2018 Report Posted December 20, 2018 Why is this not available? What is the problem? I dont see what the big deal is? 90% of all of the systems ar mounted on one way or another so this should be included as soon as possible in the 3D design. Quote
developer_mm Posted December 21, 2018 Report Posted December 21, 2018 Hi Patrik, I can understand the displeasure. Unfortunately, there are many feature requests in different program areas that we have to consider. In addition, we have to restructure PV*SOL internally to be able to offer regular features in the future. I will make it clear during feature planning that this is a very requested feature. If this will also be implemented for the next product version is a different decision process. Sorry very much for that, but nevertheless I wish you a Merry Christmas soon Quote
