Greetings,

I use Autodesk's Recap Photo to generate 3D models (.obj) from drone pictures I take of rooftops, then I import the .obj files on PV*SOL.

This all worked very well but now I'm getting an error everytime I try to import a 3D model: "Error on loading the file"

I'm aware that PV*SOL doesn't handle models that have over 500.000 vertices, but PV*SOL stopped importing models with under 200.000 vertices, that have around 20 mb. Is there a way I can send you the .obj file so you can test it?

Hi. I'm having the same problem! I cant import any .obj file on PV SOL! And it crashes all the time.

I've looked everywhere and couldnt find how exactly are the configuration accepted on PV SOL for .obj files (ex. number of pixels, points, etc..).

I've tried also different sofwares to creat the models, but all neither worked.

Hello,

Im having a same issue, cant import 3D model (.OBJ file) to  PVSol 2023 R4 on Windows 11. Even though the same 3D model works perfectly fine on Windows 10 machine on same version of the program.. I hope some one can find a fix for this.

Sorry about the belated answer and the issue you have encountered! Could you please send me the relevant file via private message here in the forum so we can have a look into it on our machines?
Thank you in advance!

Kind regards
Frederik
