Torbjørn Heimvik Posted April 24, 2023 Report Posted April 24, 2023 Hi! I wonder how to, or if it is possible to, make and save a load profile (template) from one of the existing ones (under "load profiles / individual appliances". For example, I want to make a new load profile by changing some volumes from the already existing "Family house, Central Europe" (for instance to account for seasonal variations). Let's say I want to copy it, make some changes, and save it as a template with name "Family house, northern Europe". How can I do this? (As can be seen in the screenshot, I am not able to give new names: it only shows up with the same name, and "(copy)" as suffix). Quote

In the moment you do copy the profile via the context menu you will be able to put any name not existing in the database yet: I hope that helps. Kind regards Frederik Quote
Torbjørn Heimvik Posted April 26, 2023 Author Report Posted April 26, 2023 Hi, and thank you for your reply! I have tried this, without success. See below: I right click on "family house, central Europe" -> "copy" and then edit the profile as below. I also change name to "Test profile" and press "OK". But then, in the left side, it does not get the given name, only the old one with "(copy)" as suffix: That is. I cannot get the correct name? Best regards, Torbjørn Heimvik Quote
developer_fw Posted April 26, 2023 Report Posted April 26, 2023 Hi Torbjørn Heimvik Ouch. Hm, this looks like a bug we did not know of so far. Thank you for reporting it. Could you specify the exact version of PV*SOL? Which Windows OS are you using? Thank you in advance and kind regards Frederik Quote
Torbjørn Heimvik Posted April 26, 2023 Author Report Posted April 26, 2023 Hi again! I am currently using the demo (test version) of PV*SOL premium 2023 (R3), running on windows 11. Best regards, Torbjørn Heimvik Quote
developer_fw Posted April 26, 2023 Report Posted April 26, 2023 Hi Torbjørn Heimvik this is fixed in our upcoming release 2023 R4. Kind regards Frederik Quote
Torbjørn Heimvik Posted April 26, 2023 Author Report Posted April 26, 2023 Perfect. Thank you! Another thing: (perhaps for a different forum / thread), it does not seem possible to have "undo"/"redo" editing? Is this something that is planned for the future? This would be a must for us in future projects. Best regards, Torbjørn Heimvik Quote
developer_fw Posted April 27, 2023 Report Posted April 27, 2023 Hej Torbjørn Heimvik I am sorry to be that guy but I have to disappoint you. The current 3D does not offer this functionality and since a modern, Unity-based 3D environment with already working undo|redo history is in the making, we are not able to implement this feature for the existing codebase, I'm afraid. Kind regards Frederik Quote
Torbjørn Heimvik Posted April 27, 2023 Author Report Posted April 27, 2023 Hi! Ok, I understand. But in a future version of PV*SOL premium, this will be possible? In that case, when can we assume this update? 1 Quote
