  1. Thank you for the feedback! As I believe I understand it, we are only able to retrieve 70 % of the irradiancee on the backside, leaving a 30 % loss = 3152 kWh?
  2. Hi! Thank you for the answers. I have attached the PVSOL file here. Also, can you confirm that for "normal modules" (not bifacial), the "bifacial factor" must be set to zero? Liavegen 2 - solcelleanlegg_450Wp.pvprj
  3. Hi! I cannot entirely understand how PVSOL deals with bifacial modules. When choosing a module, there is a field in the "additional parameters" part of the specific PV module data, that can be changed. There, it is possible to choose a "Bifacial factor". I see several modules that have typically 70 % bifacial factor. Does this mean that these modules (that have a number larger than 0) can actually produce from the backside? That is, if a PV module is bifacial (has glass on both sides), there will be a value in this field? In the PVSOL help section for bifacial modules, it says that it is required that the bifacial factor is larger than 1 in order for it to calculate bifaciality. As I understand this, the bifacial factor must be higher than 100 %? For modules that are not bifacial, is it correct that the module parameter must be set to 0 %? When looking at the report, I can see sometimes that it says 0 % and 0 kWh Bifaciality, even though the bifacial factor is set to 70 %. See illustration for this below, and also the PVSOL file attached: Some other sometimes it might say a negative % and negative kWh Bifaciality, even though the bifacial factor is set to 70 %. See illustration for this below, ("tosides" = "bifacial" in norwegian. What is the explanation for this? Liavegen 2 - solcelleanlegg_580Wp.pvprj
  4. Many buildings have a lot of edges and must be drawn manually. But for these structures, it is not possible to add for instance tilting in several directions (which is possible for normal rectangular polygons that can be drawn). This is useful as most buildings have some tilt on the roof for water drainage: either with water chutes / gutter at the sides (like a gabled roof with low angle), or in the middle (opposite of gabled roof, as illustrated in the attached picture). Some buildings have several of these as well. PVSOL needs an option to add this, so that the correct incidence angle of irradiance on the PV modules is achieved.
  5. Hi! That is highly appreciated. I have seen several places that the data is not fully correct. For instance, see the screenshot from PVSOL and datasheet attached. Not all values are correct in PVSOL according to datasheet. MID 25~40KTL3-X.pdf
  6. Indicator of short circuit current (I_sc) of the configuration in the "configuration check" for inverter: Now it only shows for maximum power current (current under STC), but not short circuit current:
  7. Hi! In the input fields for voltages (AC) for inverter types, should we enter phase voltage or line-line voltage in the field "nominal voltage"? (See below for Growatt MAX 50KTL3 XL).
  8. For flat roof installations: Is it possible to choose if the distance between mounting support can be on the high side vs. the low side? See example attached
  9. It would be nice to have a measuring tool. That is, "a ruler" tool to check different distances that cannot be found from object information.
  10. Hi! I cannot find any updated user manuals for PV*SOL? (Last one I see is from 2013 (attached), but I would like to see a more updated one as there are many changes). -Torbjørn Heimvik Manual_3dVisualization.pdf
  11. A function to lock buildings and other 3d objects and their surroundings would be very useful! E.g. that one can choose to lock buildings to certain coordinates...
  12. Hi! Ok, I understand. But in a future version of PV*SOL premium, this will be possible? In that case, when can we assume this update?
  13. Perfect. Thank you! Another thing: (perhaps for a different forum / thread), it does not seem possible to have "undo"/"redo" editing? Is this something that is planned for the future? This would be a must for us in future projects. Best regards, Torbjørn Heimvik
  14. Hi again! I am currently using the demo (test version) of PV*SOL premium 2023 (R3), running on windows 11. Best regards, Torbjørn Heimvik
  15. Hi, and thank you for your reply! I have tried this, without success. See below: I right click on "family house, central Europe" -> "copy" and then edit the profile as below. I also change name to "Test profile" and press "OK". But then, in the left side, it does not get the given name, only the old one with "(copy)" as suffix: That is. I cannot get the correct name? Best regards, Torbjørn Heimvik
  16. Hi! I wonder how to, or if it is possible to, make and save a load profile (template) from one of the existing ones (under "load profiles / individual appliances". For example, I want to make a new load profile by changing some volumes from the already existing "Family house, Central Europe" (for instance to account for seasonal variations). Let's say I want to copy it, make some changes, and save it as a template with name "Family house, northern Europe". How can I do this? (As can be seen in the screenshot, I am not able to give new names: it only shows up with the same name, and "(copy)" as suffix).
