Muhammad Muneeb Safdar
How I can draw canopy in PV*Sol? Drawing a building is pretty easy but I'm unable to draw a canopy in PV*Sol.
timgreen13
hi it will be much easier for you to draw it in sketchup and import it in to PVSOL ilia
developer_mh
Hi Muhammad, like timgreen said, the best way to go is to model it in another 3D application like Sketchup and import it then. A canopy like this is not possible with the built-in 3D design tools of PV*SOL. Kind regards, Martin
Frido
Hi Muhammad, Is the fact that it does not have any walls that important to you? For 95% of our projects, the only important thing is that the roof area is depicted correctly. So if I had to the depict the gas station seen in the picture I’d just go ahead with a flat roof building. I have found that it is much faster to do this way, & less prone to errors compared to using a 3D model. I try to avoid using 3D models whenever possible, as they have often caused issues. Muhammad Muneeb Safdar
Thank you for your advice. But my main concern is about shading. I want to analysis the effect of shading on near buildings/roofs.
