developer_mh
Hi Paul, yes, this is possible. At the moment PV*SOL premium can import the followig 3D formats: In practice, it is a bit difficult to say which format works best. It all depends on the software that is exporting the files, and also how the 3D model itself is structured. Often obj and 3ds files work well. Hope that helps. If you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Kind regards, Martin
Buro Happold
I use Obj format but right now I cannot open this format in the PVSol 2024 version. are there any limitation on it ?
developer_fw
Hello Buro Happold Sorry to hear that. There are limitations regarding size and textures but most certainly it is due to a model where the surfaces might not be closed e.g. Could you send me your .obj file via private message here in the forum so we can have a look into it? Thank you in advance and kind regards Frederik
Buro Happold
Our data is 220 MB; which I cannot share in a private message. Plsease provide me with a email.
developer_fw
Hello Buro Happold Sorry for the late reply. 220MB might be too big for my email box. Might it be possible to .zip it with a password (7zip e.g.), send me a wetransfer link or similar via private message plus the password? I understand if that might violate your privacy directives. Then we will find another way. Kind regards Frederik
