Bifacial -- east west configuration

I am simulating a bifacial system with east-west configuration.

Albedo is set to 100 and modules are elevated to a height to secure rear irridiance -- not intended under real system operation. 

PVSol reports on ground reflection (albedo), but no rear irridiance.

In south configuration with the same panel, I do get rear irridiance, but not in east-west.

Any special trick to east-west config?

Hello Jan Sorensen,

The easiest way to simulate a bificial PV system is to use bifacial pv modules. The bifacial factor must be set for the selected PV module.

Hi!

Where is the menu from the screenshot? I want to do a project with Amerisolar AS-7M144-BHC, but there is only AS-7m144-HC in the library, and it is not bifacial. Can I make a copy of this module and adjust its parameters so that the program reports in the results that the model is two-faced?

the menu changed visually but is located at the same place. You could copy an existing module in the databases pv modules list by going to Databases > PV Modules

After creating/copying a module it is possible to set the bifaciality in the section Additional Parameters > Bifacial factor in %

Please show me how to  create simple east-west system.

the easiest way to create an east-west-system is to add an assembly system with east-west-configuration like so:

With the newly created assembly system you can cover your roof:
