Rakeshevergen Posted July 27, 2023 Report Posted July 27, 2023 Hello everyone, In this project I would like to use solar edge inverter and one optimizer for 2 panels. I have attached a PV sol file i have issues with using 2 panels one optimizer , but works fine 1 x1 could you let me know how i can make this work ? Spectrum House Rev A.pvprj Quote
developer_fw Posted August 1, 2023 Report Posted August 1, 2023 Hello Rakeshevergen The Optimizers you did choose will not work as intended since they cannot handle the maximum power of two modules. You have to choose a different power optimizer, then you will be able to configure several modules in series with one optimizer: Kind regards Frederik Quote
pero159 Posted Friday at 04:15 PM Report Posted Friday at 04:15 PM I hope you do not mind me joining this discussion, as I am facing a very similar challenge and would greatly appreciate any guidance from those with more experience in this area. I am currently designing a PV system in PV*SOL using the following components: Power optimizer: GNETEK Honeybee1600-HPLC — a dual-input optimizer capable of handling two solar modules per unit Inverter: SAJ CHS2-50K-T6-X All-in-One Hybrid ESS — 50kW, 6 MPPT, three-phase, transformerless My issue is that PV*SOL appears to assign one optimizer per module by default, which does not reflect the actual capability of the Honeybee1600-HPLC. I have reviewed the optimizer database settings but could not find any option to specify that this particular unit supports two modules per optimizer. Could anyone advise whether there is a setting or workaround in PV*SOL that allows the software to correctly recognize a dual-input power optimizer? Any guidance on how to configure this properly would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your time and assistance. Quote
hotline_oh Posted 9 hours ago Report Posted 9 hours ago Dear pero159, Thank you for your inquiry. In the inverter configuration window, specify that you want to connect two modules in series each. Quote
