fpWE Posted July 12, 2023 Report Posted July 12, 2023 What are the short and long term consequences for the inverters when sizing strings in each of the tolerance bands as described in PVSol? How does the range of these intervals are defined? Is it the manufacters input? Quote
developer_fw Posted July 12, 2023 Report Posted July 12, 2023 Hi fpWE 1 hour ago, fpWE said: What are the short and long term consequences for the inverters when sizing strings in each of the tolerance bands as described in PVSol? One purpose of PV*SOL is to support you in paying attention to plant safety. Some rules should not be changed (open-circuit voltage), some changes of rules could lead to smaller parts saving money but tolerating more losses in some situations. 1 hour ago, fpWE said: How does the range of these intervals are defined? Is it the manufacters input? The configuration limits used for the checks are defined per project. Please have a look into our online help (reachable in many contexts using F1): https://help.valentin-software.com/pvsol/2023/en/pages/inverters/configuration-check/#configuration-check-mpp-tracker It is a mixture of manufacturer input of the component values and the configuration check tolerance limits which you could set via the configuration limits. Does this clarify your question? Kind regards Frederik Quote
