Angle And Orientation Optimization

Do you know how to find the best angle and the best orientation for solar panel according to the location ? 

For example, I am in Bogota, and I want to know what is the best angle and orientation for maximizing the energy along the year. 

Or for maximizing the energy during the worst month of the year.  And so on ? 

Do you now if there is any function in PV Sol and if not, do you know if I can find it on internet ? 

For example, that's easy for europe and africa with this webpage : http://re.jrc.ec.europa.eu/pvgis/apps4/pvest.php#

But for South America, I didn't find something similar yet.

In the new versions of PV*SOL (2016 R3 and up) you can now optimize your inclination angle for a given orientation (azimut) angle:

 

 

You can even optimize the inclination angle for one-axis tracking systems.

there is no such function in PV*SOL. We also don't know any website were you can calculate that.

Dear alblatt (and others),

 

on the website you mentioned, you can check various locations of the same latitude as Bogota in Africa or Asia. The optimal inclination angle is very likely to be same in those areas as in South America.
