Hi there,

quick clarification questions please, there is a figure in the PV Sol report for Battery System - Service Life. It's expressed in years.

  • At what point is the batteries service considered to be over? For example in the attachment, what influences this batteries service life to be 19 years?

Thank you!

Hi Jordn,

the service life is defined by the cycle load. It is an upscaled estimation based upon the number of cycles the battery passes through within the simulation period.

There is no information by manufacturers, so this estimation made it into the results. The plausibility of this value is an ongoing discussion.

Best regards,
Frederik
