opting out of FIT in Germany

Hey Dev Team,

I was wondering if there is any option for the customers to opt themselves out of FIT and get excused from tax on self consumption (Eigenverbrauchabgabe). I mean if there is any such option available, it would be very attractive for those who have very high self consumption.

Hello Vishnu,

yes there are a few exceptions to be exempted from the tax on self consumption. E.g. this only becomes chargeable for systems with a minimum size of 10 kWp, or if you are not connected to the electrical grid, the tax is not charged.
