Greetings,

Could you indicate the exact parameters used in the thermal loss calculation for each instalation type (in W/m2 K, please), namely:

  • Roof integrated - No rear ventilation
  • Roof integrated - Rear ventilation
  • Flush Mount - Good rear ventilation
  • Mounted Roof
  • Mounted - Open Space
  • Floating PV

Besides, does PVSol consider the specific Light Induced Degradation loss for each module in its simulations? Or does it depend of the type of cell?

Hi fpWE,

the factors can be found in our online help, here:

Concerning the light induced degradation, there is this factor here:

It is filled in by the manufacturer. If you create your own PV module or copy an existing one, you can change this parameter to your liking. But it is not really important for simulation, as we consider all degradation effects during operation to be summarized in the overall module degradation:

Kind regards,

Martin
