Meteonorm 7.1 v 8.2

Hi,

Can anybody explain to me why PVSol uses Meteonorm 8.2 but Solar Edge designer uses 7.1?

When I run the same project on both design tools I get varied results.

Meteonorm 8.2 data contains a broader span of years and more recent climate data.
Yes, there definitely are differences.

I'd like to reverse the question: Why SolarEdge designer is using 7.1?
Maybe you could ask SolarEdge directly which are their concerns?

I am a fan of PVSol as I think it is the best on the market.

Hi, I have experienced something similar to this. Did you get a response for SolarEdge? If so, what did they say?

Hi Helen, yes I did. 

The way around it is to export the weather data from PVSyst and then upload to SE Designer. You are basically then using Meteonorm 8.1 and not 7.1

PVSol is still number one for me.
