3D object on roof

Hi,

I made 3D object in Sketchup according to picture I attached. I also made simple building in PV SOL and placed that object on roof. Problems comes when I try to move that object, for some reason I cant move it on entire roof. White object is one made in sketchup, and this is as far top left it can go. If you need more info or files, I can send them too.

Hi Elcor,

could you send me the files here in the forum via private message so we can have a look into it? I guess maybe there is an area defined as barred at the edges so it might not be possible to place objects directly at the edge.

Maybe it will be easier to define your whole building with SketchUp or another external CAD program.

Kind regards,
Frederik

But do you have any idea why is that collison happening in first place

I thought I did. 😑 After importing your object into Blender (open source 3D software https://blender.org/) I assumed the problem was the SketchUp View still within the file:

I deleted this View. After reimporting it onto your building I was quiet happy! But after rotating the object parallel to the building edge the weird behaviour not being able to place the object nearby the edges starts again.

I forwarded your request to our 3D developer, thank you for reporting! At the moment I cannot explain it.

Kind regards,
Frederik
