Hi, this will work if you have identical rows all alligned. If you have 200 rows all different lengths then the shading will not be straight forward I imagine.

Hi, yes that work fine if you only have the one inverter but what if I have 4no 100kW inverters. How do i distinguish between Inverter 1,2,3,4 etc?

Hi, I am looking to create larger 3D designs on PVSol up to 20,000 panels etc I understand how to increase the panel size allowance but a lot of the time it crashes. What sort of size computer ram would I require to stop any crashes? Thanks

Hi, Yes I understand that I now have to select 3no SE100K-EU-(400V) Units to make 1no 100k Unit but the PVSol SLD then gives each unit an independent isolator etc. rather than just one isolator for the master. Do you understand what I mean? thanks

Hi, Why does the SLD split the Solar Edge SES units up into individual inverters and not just show the Master unit? For example a 100kW Solar Edge inverter is 1no Master Unit and 3no SES units. PVSol shows this as 3no separate inverters and this is confusing the already hard to deal with DNOs. Thanks C

Hi, My stakeholders have asked me to put a report together as to why PVSol is better to use for PPAs than PVSyst. I have always championed PVSol and have been given the opportunity to put this forward to hopefully change our process. Any input you could give me will be much appreciated. Thanks

Hi Helen, yes I did. The way around it is to export the weather data from PVSyst and then upload to SE Designer. You are basically then using Meteonorm 8.1 and not 7.1 PVSol is still number one for me.

Hi, I am wondering what are peoples opinions on PR values? What do you like to see in your designs as your highest PR and lowest PR etc Could anybody point me in the direction of a UK regulation that states what soiling losses, cable losses, mismatch etc should all be set to as a standard in PVSol to achieve the manufacturers performance figures? Hi, So from the images below you can see that on the report I have a Spec. Annual Yield of 1116.18 kWh/kWp. (521,192/1116.8= 466.76kWp) Does this Spec Annual Yield take into account the performance ratio as 95.85%? So if the PR was 100% would the Spec Annual Yield would be close to 1164.5? But on the PV System Energy Balance I have different to figures as below: Best regards Carl
