Ivan Stojkovic Posted August 29 Report Posted August 29 Hi, I am comparing pv sol pvsyst and sam, i gave them same metherologival file custom made for the same system(inverter and modules are same). but in Sam and pv syst i put in Dhi(diffuse horizontal irradiance) and not in pv sol and i put all losses that i can in all software to 0. Now difference in result from pvsyst and sam is small but difference betweem them and pv sol is big around 17 percent can that be because of DHi because pv sol calculates it by itself?? This is for my master thesis. Thanks Quote
developer_mh Posted September 10 Report Posted September 10 Hi Ivan Stojkovic, thanks a lot for your question. 17% f deviation really is a a lot, given that the meteo data are identical. There will be differences caused by varying values for the diffuse irradiance, as you already assumed, but this can't be responsible for 17% of deviation. But I can't really guess what causes the deviation as long as I don't see the project files. One point where you could start is to compare the energy balance of PV*SOL and PVsyst, perhaps you can see where the main differences occur. Hope that helps, kind regards, Martin 1 Quote
