Keyable Posted July 28 Report Posted July 28 Hey, is there any way to assign the distance between strings in a row? For example, I choose to Cover area with chosen assembly. It makes one continuous row with no gap, but I want to configure to have 0.5m gap between every 16 modules (2 portrait). How to achieve it? Please have a look at screenshot. I tried to do "Multiply Module Row Array", but it doesn’t multiply horizontally, it adds Azimuth angle (-10 degrees) also... pls help me with this issue, its very frustrating to work with Ground Mounts, thank you.  Quote
developer_fw Posted August 15 Report Posted August 15 Hello Keyable First, I'd start with (1) one assembly (2 modules stacked, 16 modules) and (2) one barred area. In the following example I made it approximately one meter wide. From this starting point you could use the one mounted module assembly and the barred area to layout the plan and fill the complete space by moving the mounted module row for spaces and copying the barred area as parallel layout. After the setup you could draw your mounted modules to fill all the possible areas. Afterwards you could clean-up superfluous module rows which do not have the full 16 modules. Depending on your area this might be a bit tedious to clean up but at least you save time for setting up the module rows equidistantly. I hope this helps. Kind regards Frederik Quote
Keyable Posted August 21 Author Report Posted August 21 Dear Frederik, Thank you very much for your suggestion, I will try to do it your way. By the way, do you have any plans to implement this feature for the future PvSOL update? It would be very useful for many of your customers. Best regards Quote
developer_mo Posted August 23 Report Posted August 23 Hello Keyable, Â please correct me if I got the question wrong but I think you could also try to implement maintenance paths. They are in the 'Object View' in the section 'Additional Options'. If you know the total width of the formation with 16 modules, then you can enter the value as the distance between each maintenance path like this: The entire area can then be covered with the set formation: On 8/21/2024 at 1:51 PM, Keyable said: plans to implement this feature for the future PvSOL update Would this be an acceptable way to implement what you want to do or do you imagine the feature differently? Kind regards Mikio Dear Mikio, Â Thank you for suggestion, I tried to use "Create Maintanance path" but it works ONLY in case if the panels are strictly facing SOUTH. In my case I have Azimuth direction of 170 Degrees. When I try to use this feature it makes Paths oriented to North-South. Is it possible to make it paraller to my Azimuth degree? In another words, how to make Maintanance Path inclinded to specific angle? Â Is it possible to make a feature for next updates which will include the distance between Strings? For example to Fill the area with Strings (each string with 18 modules) and after each string to have some X distance. Â Thank you. Quote

Yes, I think this is possible if you set the whole terrain to 170 degrees like this: Was that what you meant? I'm not sure if I understand it correctly. However, I hope that the approach described above is acceptable to you for the time being, as I suspect that it is unlikely to be implemented in the near future due to a full backlog. developer_mo Posted September 2 Report Posted September 2 Hi Keyable, you're welcome. On 9/1/2024 at 3:17 PM, Keyable said: Is it possible to do rotation with imported image? Yes, if you are in the terrain view, you have the option of right-clicking to change the orientation of the map section: The following dialogue should appear: This also applies for the terrain and for imported images. Â Thank you Quote
developer_mo Posted October 1 Report Posted October 1 Hi Keyable, thanks for your feedback. Which version of PV*SOL are you using? If it is the 2024 R7 release, please try the R8. There the imported image should be editable and therefore also rotatable. Please contact us if the problem persists, especially if it persists with the 2024 R8. Kind regards Mikio Quote
