Autocad In Pv*sol

Hi, 

 

I receive many project files with DWG files and drawings of building sites. In order to run simulations in PV*SOL I have to manually draw up every project and place obstacles in PV*SOL.

 

Is there a way to import CAD drawings/ files into PV*SOL similar to the maps function?

 

 

 

I appreciate any input on the subject.

Dear Tormod,

 

a direct import of DWF files is not yet possible, unfortunately, but you could export your DWG files as images (bmp, png or jpg) and then import them into PV*SOL, just like map images.

 

 

Then you see the footprint of your buildings as textures on the floor and you can more easily place your objects and obstacles.

just a short update: In the meanwhile it is possible to import a number of 3D model formats directly in PV*SOL premium (from version 2018 on):
