Down Regulation usage on a PV battery design

Hello there, can you help with this please,

I have a PV design, one with no battery and an identical one with a storage battery

The No battery design has a "usage for Down regulation at feed in point" whilst the battery version has usage for "Grid feed in."

What do these mean?
