Area Calculation

Hello Mr. Elghobashy,

In the 2D planning of PV*SOL you could use the roof view option. There you could enter the dimensions of the roof/area and for the walkways between the modules you can define restricted areas. The program calculates how many numbers of modules you can places on the defined roof/area.

In the 3D planning it's pretty similar. You can define open areas, buildings etc. On the buildings and open areas you can place restricred areas, maintenance pathes or other objects. If you have defined everything you can place the module rows. They can be placed manually or automatically.

Best regrads

Dear sir,

Thanks for your reply .

now what I need to know is the area of the ground use , can I get this area from the program and how , and this area should be = the generator area + restricted areas + maintenance paths

because in the report I only get the generator area , but it would be helpful if I know the whole area

Regards,

Ahmad Elghobashy

Dear Mr. Elghobashy,

In the 3D planning the depth of row (d-d1), the mounting support clearance, the row spacing and the area utilization ratio can be calculated and displayed.

Maintenance pathes and restricted ares are not taken into account in the calculation of the area utilization ratio.
