Hello,

i sent a PVSOL file to a customer to check my configuration and he can't open it as he isn't the owner of the file.

How can he open the file avoiding this error message?

Thanks

BR

Hi Alberto,

in PV*SOL there is no concept of ownership of project files. A file that you create and send to another person should be no problem. Could you provide a screenshot of the error message?

Thanks and kind regards,

Martin

Hi Martin,

thanks for your reply.

Please see attached the screen shot showing error message, also as additional info the customer is using 2021 version and i'm using 2022 version so it may be the reason?

Thanks and kind regards,

Alberto

Hello, As to not create a new thread with the same question... I have an error message when opening a file, however, this message is different that the message for older versions. Would somebody know what to do in this case please?

 Thanks, John

Hi there, I have the same issue where I cannot load a .pvprj file sent to me, what is the cause of this?

I have PVSol Premium 2025

Hey Chloe,

is the file accessible? In the path I see you use OneDrive, which might be unavailable from time to time. To rule this possibility out it would be helpful if you  copy the file to your desktop f.e. and try to open it from there.

Best regards,

Ben

Hey Chloe,

thanks for the fast response.
I guess the project is not from a different version (like f.e. PVSOL unpremium vs PVSOL premium)?
If you press CTRL+L you can see the log. Is there an entry regarding the failed load?

Best regards,
Ben

Hi Ben,

from the log I can see the following:

2025-06-16 11:19:02,826 [7392|8|Load] Load() - error during unzip. Not all files available. Anti-Virus?

Many Thanks,
Chloe
