alberto999 Posted November 29, 2021 Report Posted November 29, 2021 Hello, i sent a PVSOL file to a customer to check my configuration and he can't open it as he isn't the owner of the file. How can he open the file avoiding this error message? Thanks BR Alberto Lotto Quote
developer_mh Posted November 29, 2021 Report Posted November 29, 2021 Hi Alberto, in PV*SOL there is no concept of ownership of project files. A file that you create and send to another person should be no problem. Could you provide a screenshot of the error message? Thanks and kind regards, Martin Quote
alberto999 Posted November 30, 2021 Author Report Posted November 30, 2021 Hi Martin, thanks for your reply. Please see attached the screen shot showing error message, also as additional info the customer is using 2021 version and i'm using 2022 version so it may be the reason? Thanks and kind regards, Alberto Quote
developer_mh Posted November 30, 2021 Report Posted November 30, 2021 Hi Alberto, Quote the customer is using 2021 version and i'm using 2022 version so it may be the reason? Yes, exactly. You can't open project files from version 2022 in PV*SOL 2021. Kind regards, Martin 1 Quote
John Posted November 30, 2021 Report Posted November 30, 2021 Hello, As to not create a new thread with the same question... I have an error message when opening a file, however, this message is different that the message for older versions. Would somebody know what to do in this case please? Thanks, John Quote
developer_mh Posted November 30, 2021 Report Posted November 30, 2021 Hi John, this is most possibly coming up because you try to load a project file from PV*SOL premium in standard PV*SOL. Kind regards, Martin 1 Quote
Chloe G Posted June 16 Report Posted June 16 Hi there, I have the same issue where I cannot load a .pvprj file sent to me, what is the cause of this? I have PVSol Premium 2025 screenshot of error message below (sensitive data redacted): Quote
developer_bh Posted June 16 Report Posted June 16 Hey Chloe, is the file accessible? In the path I see you use OneDrive, which might be unavailable from time to time. To rule this possibility out it would be helpful if you copy the file to your desktop f.e. and try to open it from there. Best regards, Ben Quote
Chloe G Posted June 16 Report Posted June 16 Hi Ben, Just downloaded it and tried to reopen, same error message: Quote
developer_bh Posted June 16 Report Posted June 16 Hey Chloe, thanks for the fast response. I guess the project is not from a different version (like f.e. PVSOL unpremium vs PVSOL premium)? If you press CTRL+L you can see the log. Is there an entry regarding the failed load? Best regards, Ben Quote
Chloe G Posted June 16 Report Posted June 16 Hi Ben, from the log I can see the following: 2025-06-16 11:19:02,826 [7392|8|Load] Load() - error during unzip. Not all files available. Anti-Virus? Many Thanks, Chloe Quote
developer_bh Posted June 16 Report Posted June 16 Hey Chloe, can you send me the project file via PN? Which version (2025R6?) of PVSOL have you installed? Best regards, Ben Quote
