How to rotate a PV module relative to the location of a building?

Building location
Project Flat roof with east-west PV modules
We want the PV modules to follow the building, but the building is not located directly to the north / south, ie it is inclined to the east-west (see picture).
And when you insert the PV modules, they are placed east-west by default.
So how do we rotate / rotate the direction of the modules so that they follow the building / roof?

Hi Mikael,

when you place modules onto buildings, they get automatically oriented in line with the building geometry:

I guess you did not extrude the building from the map? Try drawing a polygon onto the map, make it rectangular (if you want), then extrude the building, activate it, and then place the mounting system.

OK I see, - but is it always necessary to extrude buildings from ground level, even if we use 3D import via eg Goolge or Bing etc.?

Hi Mikael,

it is not necessary, no. But it is easier in my opinion, since you have this automatic alignment of modules, you can place restricted areas or other objects on top, etc.
