Inverters vs. Battery chargers

Hello,

I am new with this software and struggling with the off-grid portion. I am looking at setting up a Schneider XW system with battery charge controller. These systems are separate systems that communicate and should also be separate in the software because I'm able to add multiple charge controllers and only one inverter to a system. Inverters and battery charge controllers are not separated in the software and how do we get around that. I also use midnite solar and other companies but doesn't seem to have this function. Please let me know.

Hi Rick,

first of all let me wish you a happy and healthy new year 2021.

Setting up offgrid or backup systems is always a bit difficult since all devices handle the responsibilities (like battery charging, providing a grid, energy flow management, PV MPP tracking, PV DC/AC conversion etc.) a bit differently.

I had a look at the Schneider XW website, but there a many possible solutions to connect and combine their products. Would it be possible for you to provide an approximate schematic of what devices you want to connect in your setup?
