Bengt Stridh Posted October 15, 2020 Report Posted October 15, 2020 When importing own Meteodata relative humidity (RH) is required in PV*SOL premium. In https://help.valentin-software.com/pvsol/2020/calculation/pv-modules/ it is shown that RH is used for calculation of the module temperature. However, in the description of the module temperature calculation (https://help.valentin-software.com/pvsol/2020/calculation/pv-modules/module-temperature/) I do not find that RH is used. I would appreciate an explanation, with formula in which RH is used, since we are at Mälardalen University writing a report on comparison of different software for PV yield calculations in Sweden. developer_mh Posted October 19, 2020 Report Posted October 19, 2020 Hi Bengt, we are excited to hear that you are working on a report comparing different software solutions for PV! We hope that you can share your findings afterwards The relative humidity is currently not used in our models for the module temperature. If you have any further questions on the modelling or other parts of the software, please don't hesitate to ask! Kind regards, Martin Quote
Bengt Stridh Posted October 19, 2020 Author Report Posted October 19, 2020 Thank you for the answer! A suggestion is to state in the manual that the value of relative humidity could be set to any arbitrarily chosen value, since it takes some effort to get the real RH values for a certain site, and they may not even be available. We will publish a report. In Swedish though… Maybe we will also write some English version for some conference or journal article. Quote
