DC-link coupling in a Off-grid PV system with auxiliary generator

We are modeling a existing Off-grid PV system with auxiliary generator. The system has the batteries connected behind the MPPT charge controller and the inverter, in direct current (DC-link coupling). Can this type of system be modeled with pvsol? How can we do it?

Hi Juan,

sorry for the late answer. Somehow I overaw this question.. right now it is not possible to simulate an offgrid system with DC coupled batteries, I am afraid. The offgrid logic that we implemented is based on the SMA products, so there is no DC option, sorry.

Kind regards,

Martin

Hi Techsie,

I am not sure if I can follow your reasoning. The offgrid functionality is a small subset of the PV*SOL features, and it is not limited to SMA products. We are aware of the feature request to allow for DC coupled offgrid systems, but we don't have a schedule for it now.

Kind regards,

Martin
