Johan van t Wout Posted January 13 Report Posted January 13 "Hello, I have a question regarding the following. I have designed two nearly identical systems in PVSOL. Both have 4.4 kWp of PV capacity, the same battery type with 19.2 kWh storage, and both use a hybrid inverter: a Growatt SPH3600TL BL-UP and a Solis S6-EH1P3.6K-L-PLUS. There is such a large difference in battery losses that I don’t understand the cause. Who can help me? I am uploading a spreadsheet with all PVSOL input values for the battery, the PV inverter, and the battery system. With the Growatt configuration, the loss is 819 kWh/year, while for the Solis, it is only 233 kWh/year." Growatt Solis I hope someone can help me out on this. Many thx Kind regards Data Solis and Growatt PV Inverter - battery system and battery.xlsx Quote
hotline_oh Posted January 13 Report Posted January 13 Dear Johan van t Wout, Thank you for your inquiry. Please send both project files (*.pvprj) to hotline@valentin-software.com, so that we can take a closer look at them. Quote

hotline_oh Posted Thursday at 08:32 AM Report Posted Thursday at 08:32 AM Dear Johan van t Wout, Thank you for sending us the project files. The reason for the discrepancy is the different efficiency curves of the hybrid inverters. The Ginlong Solis has a slightly higher efficiency, especially in the partial load range. Quote
Johan van t Wout Posted Saturday at 01:10 PM Author Report Posted Saturday at 01:10 PM Ok well thank you very much for the answer. I actually didn't want to believe the difference between Growatt and Solis is that big. But actually the data is correct right? Once again thanks a lot Kind regards Quote
hotline_oh Posted yesterday at 09:17 AM Report Posted yesterday at 09:17 AM Dear Johan van t Wout, Thank you for your inquiry. The database is maintained by the manufacturers themselves. The manufacturers have access to an online database in which they can enter their products. We then carry out database updates at regular intervals and the new entries are transferred to the users' databases. If you have reasonable doubts about the accuracy of the data, we can contact the manufacturer and ask them to check and, if necessary, correct the data. Quote
