Can PV Sol calculate what size system would best match a consumption pattern if, for example, you want a self-consumption rate of 80%? I have attached a project where I am trying to determine how many panels and what size inverter would be optimal for this setup if the customer wants a self-consumption share of 80%. At the moment, I am basically just testing different configurations. Another question regarding this project: you can see that I have installed batteries—5 units of 5.12 kWh each. This results in a self-consumption rate of 66.4%. Has AI control for charging and discharging the batteries been included in the calculation? With AI control, wouldn’t the self-consumption rate be expected to increase further? partdesign.pvprj

Hello I know how to change the image on the project overview page. But how do you change it on the module surfaces page so i can see all the PV moduls? I would still like to keep south pointing downward, so that it is not rotated like the overview image. Thanks. Dagrofa Herning.pvprj

Hi again. I’ve figured it out now. I checked the “medium” option. I’ve now created the project with the Google API. The report says it’s only 0.1% reduction in yield due to shading. Can that be correct? Have I created the project in 3D correctly? Dagrofa Horsens - Kopi.pvprj

Hello I have several projects for which I need to run some simulations—in 3D. I want to make them as realistic as possible. I have modeled the buildings in 3D. I would like it if one could set the shadow effect, for example, to 2%, but of course, that isn’t possible in 3D. Therefore, I am asking for your help in creating a shadow effect. I am attaching two of my projects here. How do you assess whether shadows should be taken into account? Okay. Thanks. I will like to simulate the shadows. On the roof, there is some technical equipment that I would like to model in 3D in order to see its shadows. I have tried to draw a polygon to illustrate the technical equipment, but I get an error as you can see in the attached image. How is this done? It is a bit of a tricky building I think, so how many panels can you fit on the building? Hi. I want to use the financial calculation. I haven’t tried that before. I have a price for a system of 650,000 DKK. I have entered that. Is what I’ve done correct? I know the customer pays 2.16 DKK per kWh. So I would like to enter this fixed price per kWh, and then use PV solar to calculate the payback time. How do I do that? Thanks. JKE.pvprj

I have made a simulation. In the report, a performance ratio of 93% is mentioned. I think that seems quite high, and I’m worried that I might have forgotten something in my calculations. I have attached my PV SOL file here. I have entered the number and type of panels, the type of inverter, the orientation of the panels, and the length and size of the AC and DC cables. I have deliberately not included any shading effects. Could you please take a look at my calculation and provide some feedback? That will help me a lot.
