Indy.Singh Posted August 21, 2024 Report Posted August 21, 2024 Hi, How would I go about modelling a building with a large flat roof with all sides being pitched? I've modelled a building that suits these parameters but the software won't allow me to put any panels - it only allows me to mount panels on the pitched areas. Any advice would be helpful, Thanks, Indy Quote

Here is a screenshot: I guess you've already figured all that out yourself. Therefore, you can push a second building with a flat roof, where the collision is deactivated and whose height and roof area corresponds to that of the first building, into the first building. This roof is then selectable and can be covered. Does that help? If two houses pushed inside each other are not an option, I have been given a second solution: Take a building with mansard roof as a base and set all the values for the first and second attic storeys as shown in the following two screenshots: The roof surface of the flat roof should then also be selectable and coverable: Kind regards Mikio  Quote

I'll be sure to use this method to mount the panels in the areas I need. Hopefully we can see a simpler solution in the next few updates by allowing the designer to mount panels on pre-set models. Thanks again, Kind regards, Indy Singh Quote
