Yurate Wolf Posted May 30, 2024 Report Posted May 30, 2024 Dear users, I have downloaded original SARAH and SARAH-2 datasets and in both of them around 0,2% of the data are having the gaps. Could you please tell me how you handl this in PVGIS, since in the end these are 0 hours, do you then fill it with ERA5 data or apply 0. Thank you very much in advance! Quote
developer_mo Posted June 12, 2024 Report Posted June 12, 2024 Hi Yurate Wolf, thank you for your post and sorry for the late reply. The ERA data is already included in the SARAH/SARAH-2 data on the PVGIS side. PV*SOL receives the final data and do not fill in any missing data, i.e. we leave it at 0. In the case of missing data, I would recommend the following: The easiest solution is to fall back on another climate data source. If you want to use PVGIS, use a slightly offset location and see if the data integrity is better there. An other option is to export the data to a file, manually fill in the missing days with mean values from the hours of the previous and following days and import this. There is also an entry in the help on how to create climate data manually which you can find here: https://help.valentin-software.com/pvsol/2023/en/pages/system-type-climate-and-grid/meteosyn/#options Kind regards Mikio Quote
