Ali Posted March 4 Report Posted March 4 Hi there, just wondering if anyone knows how the electricity production cost is calculated? Quote
developer_mo Posted March 13 Report Posted March 13 Hi Ali, thanks for your question. Simply put the electricity production costs are calculated like following: Electricity production costs = Total Investment costs / Total PV energy during the observation period. For example, if the total cost is 7000 £ and the total energy generated is 120000 kWh, then electricity production costs are 0.0583 £/kWh. An easy way to get the total amount of energy generated is to copy the table behind the graphic on page 'PV energy during the observation period' with a right-click and to add up the total in Excel. The degradation factor of the modules and reinvestment also influence the calculation, if these have been specified. To be able to explain exactly how the electricity production costs are calculated in your project, I would have to take a look at your project. You are welcome to send me a private message in this forum with the .pvprj file or upload it here in the thread. You can also find a description of how to calculate the electricity production costs in our online help under the heading financial analysis. Kind regards Mikio 1 Quote
